13 by medusa Sue, interesting comment on Gann. Somebody said that Gann's book "Tunnel through the Air" contained all Gann's stock market astrological secrets, but I found it so boring that I gave up searching for any meaningful allegories to the astrology of the stock market. I don't even know what the image of a tunnel through the air is supposed to mean. I read somewhere that he used something he called the Grand Mutation, by which he meant the conjunctions of Saturn and Jupiter. But these are quite frequent and don't seem to do anything at all. Apart from Gann, who I don't waste any more thought on, I find it difficult actually testing ideas, mainly because I am not very computer literate and setting up a program to go through say fifty years of stock market data and correlate it to the astrological data that I think might be significant, would be beyond my technical or mathematical ability. This is quite a difficult thing to do with any great thoroughness with the naked eye. Try combing through the apparent plateau of the 1960's and 1970's in the DJIA and correlate that with planetary patterns. My brain soon got very tired and overwhelmed. Somebody advised me to make my work very visual, which is probably even more relevant to me because I am highly visual, it is the primary way my brain represents data, and I am not auditory/digital at all, have a sort of number blindness. As a mystery I haven't solved, has anyone else noticed that the Uranus Neptune conjunction of 1992 correlated with the beginning of a massive spike up in charts of both money supply and money velocity? 14 by granny_skot The Grand Conjunction is the Saturn Jupiter conjunct and happens every 20 years, it is the cycle attributed to the deaths of US presidents who are elected in 0 years that die in office. Other than it happens I haven't seen much direct correlary in the actual charts involved. I do find that money has been spiralling up in the last 20 years, thanks for a point to review in that arena. As for market data, he may be looking at transits to the GC for market trends, but I'm liking Andrews 4 lunar cycles idea, I want to look at more trends and see what shows up. unfortunately wont be able to get to that as quickly as I'd like I'm still searching for data on another project. 15 by medusa granny skot, thanks. I know what it is like searching for data, I suppose you have already asked on this forum for anyone who knows anything? I might, or might not, but there isn't much astrology wise that I haven't tried to find data for. I find with financial markets, it it the sheer precision needed that my human mind doesn't seem capable of. Everything has to be narrowed down to avoid confusion. Quote Wed Jan 10, 2007 4:16 pm
16 by granny_skot actually I just have a ton of Data to wade though! there are a few birth TIMES I haven't found, but very few, mostly side people. Granny Quote Wed Jan 10, 2007 10:02 pm
17 by medusa Has anybody else noticed that financial markets seem to react to the *mean* node of the Moon rather than the "true" node? Is this just my imagination, or have other people repeatedly noticed this too? Quote Wed Jan 31, 2007 8:53 pm
18 by Andrew Bevan [quote="medusa"]Has anybody else noticed that financial markets seem to react to the *mean* node of the Moon rather than the "true" node? This would require quite a bit of research but I believe most of us use the mean node (?) However, your remark is highly interesting and please feel welcome to tell us more about your observations. http://www.astronor.com Quote Sat Feb 03, 2007 10:39 am
