Moon will go through some changes fairly quickly and re-trine Venus after having realigned her feelings with herself(moon conj jupiter) Though the work is work, I"m not certain we are talking same company, but probably similar work.

Definitely not the same company - but they are saying goodbye to me with a fairly decent separation package, so I wish them well too. And I am doing some soul searching; I just need to find a way to turn this whole thing to my advantage somehow...

The Moon translates the light from Venus to Mercury. Mercury here - ruling the 10th from the 10th - indicates her next employer, possibly the company that is about to take over, so at first glance we might feel safe in saying that her new bosses will retain her services.
What has to be borne in mind though is that the Moon rules the 8th house and Mercury and Venus are posited there, so some form of "death" will be linked to this transition. Not surprising really, when you consider that her present company will indeed "die" and be replaced by another.

I am going in as a consultant which requires the signing of a new contract, etc. However, I would like to point out the significance of the "death" that Pete has repeatedly pointed out. Things are very different in this company compared to where I am right now, they are in a different league all together. Taking on this job will result in the "death" of my existing working life as I knew it. I had been comfortably drifting along, perfectly happy to just come in and work from 9 to 5 every day. This job is challenging, very challenging, and high profile.

I think we should also take note of the Moon's final aspect, which is a trine to the P.O.F. in the 2nd house. Granted, the lord of the P.O.F. is in detriment, combust and in 8th, but can we ignore the fact that the Moon in fact makes a trine to the P.O.F. itself?
