I recently had a first date with a very intersting man in a very interesting profession. Basically the date went down like this: I got there first (as a good punctual virgo stellium always does) when he arrived, my first impression was "meh. he's not bad." Somewhere between "Let's find a table" and "So what would you like to drink" "Not bad" morphed into "OMFG HE'S HOT...even the little space between his teeth is kind of endearing and OMG EYES!"

However, leaving for Japan tomorrow for 2 weeks, and had not yet packed, so unfortunately after an hour he had to cut it off. I did get a goodbye hug, and throughout the evening he initiated a lot of innocuous contact (leg brushes, elbow touching etc) but that early am flight was definately on his mind. So it looks like a lot of you were right on track.

So now I've asked will there be a second date (and hopefully a third, fourth etc.)?
This time I get me as venus and he as mars. Since we've met now, I have no doubt he is seventh house. Right off the bat, I think venus and mars as female/male significators. Venus is making an applying sextil to mars, as is the moon. So there is a connection, but I may be somewhat more eager. However, unlike the first date, where I was in a fairly weak position as mercury, here we are both exalted. Also, there is reception between the ruler of his fifth house of romance and the ruler of my fifth house.

On a negative note, the rulers of our tenth houses are squaring each other, suggesting that work schedules on both our ends will create obstacles.

oh...to clarify..references to me as mercury have to do with a chart in which I asked specifically how the first date would go. It went as the chart predicted...some attraction, but obstacles coming from him and mind focusecd on job.

The moon translates the light between you and him, although it doesn't 'have to', as you have noted you are applying by sextile. This would give a definite 'yes' probably fairly soon as the sextile from the moon to the man is only 4 arcminutes. So 4 'somethings': days or weeks, probably.

The significator for romancing, dates, etc. , however, is nasty old Saturn, posited in the 10th, possibly the 11th or his turned house of pleasure. The Moon is also in Scorpio, the sign of its fall. It may be as you have said; you may well have a date or two more, but with Saturn as significator and in the 10th I would bet my loafers that work gets in the way, or that, with the Moon being in fall, it turns out less rosy in some way than you might have hoped. He does seem interested, definitely, as he is in reception with Saturn. However, there is some block. The moon's next aspect after the sextile to Mars is a square to the Sun, ruler of Men and also his turned house of romance. Then it squares Saturn. There's that mutually-receptive opposition (interested but not very good for you) between Saturn and the Sun. So definitely blocks. YOU are in a good position, however, as you are not only exalted but conjunct the moon's node. I lack the skill to figure out exactly what this means, but I suspect you'll come out okay in the end, whatever the immediate result of this question!

yeah. we both have very high stress careers...that's probably going to be a problem with anyone I try to date
