Urgent. My father has had a stroke. 1 by Moondance7 Could you please take a look and see if this will kill him or if he will recover? I did not turn the houses in my haste, and my interpretation that he will die is hopefully wrong. Any help appreciated. Thanks. Quote Fri Feb 16, 2007 6:38 pm
2 by granny_skot Why do you feel this is automatic death sentence? Lets go with unturned chart first because that is how you read it. ruler of 8 is Saturn in detriment and retrograde. death is weak? ruler ascendent sextiles Jupiter ruler of 6th in another degree, jupiter has essential dignity. Moon is not in its best condition, but is not ill dignified either. Moon will very quickly pass out of the 8th and into the 9th. In fact most people would read moon as in 9th not 8th. moon will connect to neptune before opposing sun. moon conj Neptune is a bit of a worry it reminds me of an incident last night where I had to take my neighbor to retrieve his wife from the hair dressers. The woman told her husband she fainted, and that the hairdresser would not let her drive home but insisted she have someone pick her up. When I got there the hairdresser (who is actually an ex boyfriend of mine, ex seal and has a good background in basic medicine) said that she had a siezure and that she needed to see the Dr as soon as possible. The woman kept insisting she merely feinted, to which I say, feinting is something you need to talk to the dr about as well, neither is a normal activity. possibly need to watch out for lieing to oneself about ones true state of health to avoid further trouble??? then opposes saturn. I think the key to avoiding death here lay in my former statement. eventually the grim reaper catches up to all of us, but with the advancement of science it seems to me that what in 1647 was an automatic death sentence can now often be avoided, and we can hope for the same here. okay lets look at it as fourth house being father instead since it did occur to you and see what it says that way. 4th house ruler is Mercury on the turned 7th house cusp, retrograde in detriment retreating into the 6th house (health) Turned 6th house ruler is Saturn in detriment in the 12th house of self undoing. I dont believe mercury retrogrades enough to actually oppose Saturn, but this would suggest to me that father gets worse before he gets better. And meets up with the sun who is 12th house ruler first so might actually be a worse chart not a better one. In either case I think it prudent to keep a close eye on your father. Sometimes men are less inclined to tolerate the problems associated with stroke than women and may cause themselves injury in their upset condition, so I would suggest a couple of things here. (interesting that in either case the significator is on the cusp of the next house indicating something very fast I think? also fast planets) Dont accept cursory medical chatter, insist on full diagnosis. I think there is more going on than is obvious and requires some research. (too many saturn age related points here so you are fighting chronos) Second keep a finger on the pulse of your fathers mental well being. with stroke victems a little prozac can go a long way to helping them cope. (my grandmother was in hospice for last couple years of her life with stroke related illness, and it was the happiest I'd ever seen her. she suffered from paranoia in her latter years and some prozac before the stroke would probably have added some years to her life, conjecture here, since it would have destressed her heart and arteries) When they talk about dying of a broken heart people think it is a euphamism, but there is actually a chemical imballance caused by stress that weakens the heart and makes you more susseptible to heart failure, ergo the detressers help with several kinds of physical illness. In any case I hope your father gets better and that whatever treatment he gets is what he needs. since in either case study we are looking at the two fastest moving planets, this is a short space of time to deal with illness involved (moon and mercury) so the incident is imediate and all the things that are about to occur will do so in short amount of time. Whatever happens you have my sympathy in this, Granny Quote Fri Feb 16, 2007 7:22 pm

4 by Tara Dear Moondance, Deb in an article on this site, Lilly's Use of Reception in Horary, says that the Lord of the 8th receiving the Lord of the 1st protects the querent from harm because the Lord of the 8th in this situation withholds its potential for destructiveness. Let's hope that this is so for your father. Best wishes, Tara Last edited by Tara on Fri Mar 02, 2007 9:46 pm, edited 1 time in total. Quote Sat Feb 17, 2007 4:46 am
