I recently responded to a personal ad (lame, I know...but new city, no friends, afraid of bars...have to meet people somehow!) Through a strange twist of fate, it turns out that he is also in the military, in a very similar job to my own, just in a different building and command, but our circles will cross a lot (it's a very small community) I'm leery of dating people that close to my professional circle, as reputation damage is a huge fear of mine. So I asked "Should I give this a shot?" January 16, 11:07 pm, Washington DC.

Libra ascending, venus in the fifth house, opposite saturn in the 11th. mars (him as L7?) is in a seperating conjunction with the moon in the third house with an orb of about 1 degree and both trining saturn.

Moon is only 1 degree capricorn and also rules my tenth house.

I am stumped. Absolutely nothing is leaping out at me.

Any hints on what I should look at?

okay first of all, in my opinion, there are NO coincidences..... and everything is for a reason.
and if you did not feel there was some sort of reason behind all of this you wouldn't have posted.
you say nothing jumps out at you, and yet you titled your post a coincidence,
what i am getting at is that i think there is a very deep meaning here, and although i am but a newbie at this, i will attempt to give you my intuitive 2 cents.....
so here goes.
first of all did you do the chart including asteroids? i did, and lilith is conjunct your rising, at libra. have you met this fellow yet? i think you will find him most attractive, at least in some way pleasing to the eye. cultured even? well learned and maybe even artistic? also venus in the fifth house.... is your clock ticking? maybe this fellow will play an important role in your life, perhaps you are wishing for children and either you are projecting this want into the world and hoping it will return to you or perhaps this man is destined to have children with you?
also, moon conj. mars, in third house.... methinks there is alot of clock ticking happening here.... are you really putting it out there that its not just a fling you're looking for but really something deeper?
however, juno in first house, and vesta in scorpio in the second tells me that either you are coming out of serious drama or you have to be aware of your own propensity to draw it to yourself..... are you repeating patterns? are you looking for love in the wrong places?
north node, pisces, 6th house.... intuitively are you feeling that like you said you don't necessarily want to mix work and play however, something intuitively is telling you to look for someone you CAN mix the two with? have you felt in the past people you dated didn't understand how you were committed to your work, and it actually interfered with relationships in the past, so maybe, finding someone with like interests, actually might work better for you?
still, all the planets, except for retro saturn in leo, are all below the horizon. so i would guess you have not taken any steps, and this is all your virgo way of figuring everything out before you actually do anything..... and maybe you are debating whether or not it is better to give love to yourself right now? (retro saturn in 11th house.....)
i would say go for it, but keep your radar open for craziness..... that vesta in scorpio tells me there may be more karma/drama that might come as a result of making a move, like that uranus square jupiter buisness.... maybe it would be better to give love to yourself because the planet of upheval is straddling 5th and 6th houses, work AND family.......but, all a learning experience none the less....

Unfortunately I don?t see this relationship going to new levels...
Venus and Mars are inconjunct, without help of antiscia, collecting or transfering of light.
Moon is passing the encounter with this man of marcial manners in capricorn (a military !) and is now void of course because her orb is empty. In fact the only planet she will make aspect is the Sun, all the others are in aversion.
Moon will hit the antiscia of Jupiter but there is a long time to it, so I don?t think that a recent meeting with that representation has a lot of chance to go on... The chart doesn?t show anything happening.

Since you are in a new location, etc. I would like to suggest you get to be friends with this guy, PoF is on 2nd cusp, Moon also rules 10 and it has just left conj wtih Mars, who is in the 3rd house of communications, siblings, etc. Also I think you might end up working together at some point as Saturn, which in this case I'm taking to be military authority, in a paternal sense, is in the 11th house of friendship. All this suggests that you want your chatty new friend to say nice things about you.

So while I have to agree, this doesn't look like the best match, I think building a professional relationship with this person could be an advantage to you both. Okay just a thought. I suspect he is no more eager to have a relationship inside work than you. Mars just moved into Cap, changing his attitude to one that is more resistant and conservative, than fun loving Sag.

oh, and you never know, he might have a cute friend...

there is a reversal of your natal axis here.

In this one and you previous horary, the important thing is of Saturn and sun interaction, I think as far as relationships are concerned, that Axis- Aquarius- Leo axis is your main axis, or at least that is the one that is interfering.This is your nodal axis in the natal chart . I think you are probbaly meeting people who you are Karmically tied to, could be just repaying old debts- be nice to them and they may go away when you have cleared the slate of debts :-) . That is the eastern philosophy, may not appeal to you.

You could be trying to beat the stars by questioning at different times but- here Saturn is exalted in 1st and sun in 7th, they are in exchange but no aspect. Mars is in a saturnine sign and so is venus. I think you have to work out what this Saturn business is, which is affecting your horaries so strongly. I guess, if you ask another horary it will reflect the influence of same planet.

well, we went out once and honestly, I wasn't that attracted...maybe I went in with a negative attitude based on the horary and self fulfilling prophecies, but I agreed to a second date anyway...we went out again a few nights ago and wow! Totally different. A lot more chemistry. Very interested.

So, I'm not sure where it will go from here...but here are the synastry charts. Of note are the venus/venus mars/mars oppositions. However, I'm leery about his T-square. We'll see.

If it's any consolation, Virgolass, Mr. Archergirl and I are direct opposites; he is a sextuple Gemini (four planets, the North Node and his ascendant, can you imagine) and I'm a dyed in the wool Sagittarius. Both our Venuses and Marses (can that be correct grammar?) oppose: Venus: Gemini/Sag and Mars: Virgo/Pisces, so squares and oppositions are our lot as far as love planets go. We've been married for twelve years, and if there's one thing I can say about the relationship, it's neither boring nor quiet!

Your moons look like they trine nicely, which will make things much smoother should you go for a 3rd, 4th, 5th date, etc.: I wouldn't worry about the T-square: it'll make him interesting!

My interest would be in being able to find the corresspondence between the person signified in the horary and the natal chart of that person.

He is more jupiterian- Pisces is ascendant,sun is sagittarius. Jupiter is neither in 5th/7th nor rules 5th or 7th in the horary.

Neptune-the co-ruler of pisces is in 5th and ,ascendnat lord venus applies to Neptune.It seems neptune prevented the opposition to Saturn.
Moon is in distant antiscion connection with Jupiter in horary.

The 7th is Aries in Horary and his natal moon is in Martian Scorpio.

The horary seems to have much closer relation to the 5th and planets in 5th than the 7th.!!

Let us see when this relationship moves into the 7th.Keep us informed(don't be too descriptive -LOL)

Natally, his jupiter conjunct your south node- he will be more interested in teaching you- if that is possible- or being a benefactor.(my experience)

interesting the article also mentions the tie with travel when jupiter and node connect. If anythign serious were to develop here there would certainly be a lot of travel together, as we're both in the armed forces.

Conclusion:

After a second (what I thought was great) date, he called and told me he's getting back together with his ex girlfriend. Now, I know this is a mercury retrograde passing fad. But by the time he realizes this it will be too late. I'm not a "plan B".
