Military Deployment. 1 by Virgolass It's fairly certain I will be going to the middle east soon for military purposes. i had a nightmare last night in which I got stuck on orders that were only administrative, underchallenging, boring and not what I want to do at all. (i've been having that frustration at work lately) So I drew up a chart for my deployment asking "What job will i do when I deploy?" The possible jobs are a. helping develop a court system for the Iraqi people b. Reviewing detainee issues at the prisons and detention centers c. travelling with a marine expeditionary group and being either a legal advisor, or court martialing/defending marines who violate the law or d. (the one I'm afraid of) something administrative and boring. Chart was drawn for March 4, 9:16 am Washington DC. Ascendant is Taurus, my main significator is venus in aries in the 12th house. Maybe the prisons? It also makes an applying trine to Saturn which signifies both my ninth house of foreign travel and my tenth house of career, and jupiter, the planet which typically rules law and court systems, so maybe it's the court building? I dunno...Stumped. Quote Sun Mar 04, 2007 3:07 pm
by Gunhilde Hiya, sorry for the delay. I think these kinds of questions are tricky as you have to decide which significator belongs to which thing, before you cast the chart (I can never figure out my own charts when I do this). But IMO your interpretation makes a lot of sense. However, you have to look at the moon's placement/sign/degrees as well; in fact, look at it first! I don't have your chart to hand so I won't be much help with it right now, but on March 4 the Moon was leaving a full moon eclipse and so was opposing Mercury Rx. That should have some significance in the chart, methinks. Ta! AG Quote Mon Mar 05, 2007 3:28 pm
by Virgolass moon is 20 degrees virgo, making a separating square to jupiter (Lord 8 and 12) Again suggesting detainee/prison perhaps? Or maybe the marine position, as that would involve more combat (eigth house being involved in death matters). It's next aspect will be a trine to the midhaven, but it makes no aspects to any other planets before leaving virgo. in libra, however, is a trine to mars. Quote Mon Mar 05, 2007 4:43 pm
by Gunhilde I'm wondering whether that moon would be considered VOC, then; there was a long moon void before it entered Libra. It may be that you wind up doing the d) none of the above! It's a long way from 20 degrees Virgo to 4 degrees Aquarius (Mars) to make an aspect. Maybe the situation isn't fully brewed yet. Quote Mon Mar 05, 2007 7:10 pm
by Virgolass well one of the assignments that I may go to hasn't actually been created yet. That would be the court building one. Quote Mon Mar 05, 2007 7:12 pm
