Living in Las Vegas, I gamble almost every day.
For some reason I have found that I tend to have good luck just before a major Phase of the Moon.
I also do well when the Transiting Sun is Square, Inconjunct, or Semisextile my natal Sun.
I can't offer an explanation for this, it's just what I've noticed.
I've got a feeling it's probably different for different people and has a lot to do with how the Natal Chart is reacting to the Transits.
I suggest keeping a long term record of your winning days and study the Transiting aspects on those days to your own Natal Chart.

BIG WIN!!
Well, on March 1st I entered one five week lotto coupon (10 lines) for the 2nd time as described above (See chart at http://www.astronor.com/ENTRY2.GIF ) but I also threw in an additional coupon with 6 lines for just this coming Saturday's draw on March 3rd. Both coupons were entered at the same time. The five week coupon was a prefilled coupon, the other one I filled out by random.

BOTH coupons won! The coupon I filled out myself contained a line with 6 of the 7 winning numbers, won the 3rd prize and brought home NOK kr. 7225,- (GP ?650). (Odds equal 1:28463) The prefilled coupon had a line with 5 of the winning 7 numbers, won the 4th prize and NOK kr.210,- (GP? 19). (Odds are 1:730) The Norweigan lotto has 5 different prize levels. The 1. prize in this weeks draw was NOK kr. 4.185.820,- (GP? 380.000,-)

When I think about it, I actually bought another lottery ticket at the same time as delivering the lotto coupons. Also this ticket gave a minor prize. So in conclusion, everything I touched at this moment gave a return of money.

New Experiments
Here is this week's election for entering the lotto:

The election is set for the day of Jupiter and the hour of the Sun. Venus is lady of the Libra ascendant by sign and term, and is in trine with Jupiter, who is lord of the day. Venus in an angular house and in the exact exaltation of the Sun at 18AR56, who is lord of the hour, and the two planets share mutual reception by exaltation.

Venus is in a Grand Trine with the superiors, Jupiter and Saturn, and translates and pushes ahead the applying trine between Jupiter and Saturn. Saturn is lord of the 5th of speculation and has dignities on the ascendant by exaltation. He is elevated in the chart, and located on the cusp of the fortunate 11th house. The Moon is lady of the 10th house and in Scorpio in the 2nd house of monies. She casts her antiscia to the cusp of the 5th, that is in her face, and contra-antiscia to Saturn on the cusp of the 11th, and who is ruler of the 5th. Both Moon and Saturn are in the terms of Jupiter.

Stationary Mercury is in the 5th house. Spica is on the cusp of the 2nd house and Fortuna is conjunct with Chiron.

As for joining this chart to my own radix, I have made the ascendant 6LI06, conjunct with my radix Mars located at 6LI20, and who is the traditional ruler of my Scorpio ascendant. The Moon in the chart of the election at 10SC10 applies to my radix ascendant at 11SC29. The grand trine between Jupiter, Saturn and Venus is joined to my nativity with Venus conjunct my radix Jupiter at 19AR28, the latter being lord of 2nd and 5th houses of the nativity.

Reflections:
The election of March 1. does best so far and might seem more finely tuned with the Moon within 16 minutes of my natal Sun, while the March 8. chart needs over a degree to reach my radix Asc. The March 1. chart has Mars, ruler of the 5th, exactly on an angle, the cusp of the 7th - while the March 8. chart shows Saturn, lord of the 5th, not angular but on the cusp of the 11th. (and was probably not equally electric). The election prepared for March 1. applies a more simple design and combination of the planetary hour/day and radical ascendant, ie. Day JU, Hour JU, Asc. in Leo. The Moon in Leo in the 1st house also applies to the lord of the hour by trine.

Election for the lotto draw March 17. 2007:

I chose an early entry this time, March 11. 2007, time 13.54 LT (12.54 GMT) wanting to pick up on a positive condition of the Moon. I have a coupon at home containing some of my favourite numbers and took it down to the local bookie to register it at the selected moment. Actually I wanted to register the coupon a little earlier, but came a little late, as I would have liked to have the Moon in an exact trine to my natal Sun at 13LE21, but never mind - I might find another auspiscious moment later into the week for picking up some random lines. If the occasion doesn't arize, then this will have to do.

The election is made for the day and hour of the Sun with Leo rising. My natal Sun is on the Ascendant and the Moon casts a trine to both the Ascendant and the Midheaven, and is located on the Asc./MC midpoint.
The Moon is in my natal 2nd house (monies), but in the radical 5th (speculation), she is in her own face and applies to the body of Jupiter, who is the lord of the 5th and in his own sign and in the face of the Moon, and who is dispositor of the Sun (lord of day, hour and ascendant). Jupiter gathers dignities on the radical ascendant by face.

The 2nd house has Regulus on its cusp and is located in the terms and face of Mars. Mars is lord of the MC and located on the cusp of the 7th. The Moon will translate the virtue of Mars, lord of 10th, to Jupiter who is lord of the 5th.

We will have to wait and see whether any of this comes useful.

Well, I have selected a second time window, or rather election, for entering this Saturday's lotto in Norway. I'm particulary interested in this first coming Saturday because my Year Point will be crossing Jupiter in his own terms at 10SC21 in my Solar return. My natal Ascendant is 11SC28! Jupiter is the ruler of the 2nd and 5th house in my nativity, and in the Solar return the cusp of the 2nd is 10CN02. That makes Jupiter almuten of the 2nd cusp by term and exaltation. Since my Year point entered Scorpio, which contains Solar Return Jupiter, both the last two lotto draws have actually resulted in hits - although the 6 winning numbers of March 8. is the definate highlight so far.

The moment chosen is March 12., time 18.51 LT (17.51 GMT), Asker 59N50, 10E26 http://www.astronor.com/ENTRY5.GIF

The radical Ascendant is 28VI52. The cusp of my natal 5th house is 29PI50 and I have decided to make this angular and put it on the Descendant. The radical Descendant is also the location of the approaching Solar eclipse of March 19. at 28PI07. To add 'kick' to this chart, notice how the Moon is within 30' of her conjunction with Pluto and located quite precisely on the IC.

Now the election is made for the Day of the Moon, the Hour of Venus and with Virgo on the radical Ascendant. The Moon, who is Ruler of the Day, casts her square through signs of long ascension to the Ascendant. Venus, who is Lady of the Hour and ruler of the 2nd house, is located in her own face in Aries in the 8th. The chart is proven radical by her applying sextile to Mercury, who is lord of both Asc. and MC, and who is dignified by triplicity in the 5th house of speculation. There is thus an agreement between the Lady of the Hour and the lord of the Ascendant and the planets are given relevant rulerships and locations.
Mercury applies to my natal Moon at 27AQ56, the latter also being trine the Midheaven.

The Jupiter/Saturn midpoint is placed on the cusp of the 2nd house. The cusp of the 3rd house (tickets and tags) is in trine Uranus and the Moon's North Node and ruled by Mars, who is 11AQ09 and on the cusp of the 5th and squares my natal Ascendant at 11SC28.

I have come up with no positive conclusions as how to winning numbers can be 'manipulated' or deducted in advance, but the experiments put forward try to show how one may co-operate with coincidence.

What a disappointment and how interesting! 5 of my prime numbers came up, but I had got the wrong spread and luck gave no aid. Back to studying the election that scored so well on March 8. Maybe my lack of planets in Sagittarius in my radix(election Moon in Sagittarius) had something to do with it.

Election for the lotto draw March 24. 2007:
For this week I elected March 20., time 11.26 LT (10.26 GMT), Asker 59N50 10E26 http://www.astronor.com/ENTRY6.GIF

This chart is cast for the day of Mars and hour of Saturn with Cancer ascending. The chart is made radical by the lady of ascendant, the Moon, in the same triplicity as the lord of the hour, Saturn, and the Moon and Saturn form a Grand Trine with Jupiter, who has his exaltation on the ascendant. The chart shows a kite with Mars applying to the opposition of Saturn. Mars is lord of the day and has dignities in the ascendant by triplicity, and the opposition is migrated through the intervention and harminious translation of the Moon.

The Moon applies to the cusp of the 11th house and is disposed by Mars, who is in the 8th house and disposed by Saturn, who once again is lord of the hour and located in the 2nd house. Spica is on the cusp of the Libra 5th with ruler Venus intercepted in the 11th house in her own sign and in the exaltation degree of the Moon. However, Saturn, lord of the hour, is once again the key planet since he is almuten of the cusp of the 5th house by exaltation and triplicity. Saturn is disposed by the Sun at 29PI26 in the 10th house, which plays on to the cusp of my natal 5th house at 29PI50. Besides, I find it auspiscious that the Sun is about to cross the Vernal Equinox and enter into the sign of his exaltation.

Uranus is in the exact minute of the North Node in this chart and culiminating in the 10th. The MC at 13PI12 plays to my radix Chiron at 13PI35 - as I would hope that this was a key-moment and stirr up an 'act of fate'.

The radical Ascendant at 24CN30 does by antiscia play to the cusp of my radix 8th at 5GE45. The Moon at 18AR10 moves in on my natal Jupiter at 19AR28, which is the ruler of my 2nd and 5th houses, and most important I have placed the Part of Fortune at 13LE13 in the 2nd house, which is conjunct my natal Sun at 13LE21. The election of March 1. which gave 6 out of 7 winning numbers and a return of nearly ?700,- had the Moon at 13LE05 ( http://www.astronor.com/ENTRY2.GIF ). This time I play Fortuna to this point and see how that works out.

I thought that the premise was intersting, not the planetary positions themselves but the "conditions" that the planetary aspects were in and coming out of.

They do have a sample 3 month chart. Perhaps, Andrew you can compare that chart with the charts you've been drawing and let us know whether it was up to snuff. I tried the chart for lotto and "no joy"

The service provided on the link you provided seemed rather basic, but harmless. The win I had on March 3. of almost ?700 does not coincide with any lucky day warning issued by this report. The idea of a free transit report to look into portions of luck experienced is not all that bad, although the methods I am putting to test through election astrology are more specific in design. I am finding this activity interesting at present but not conclusive. Another significant winning should turn up soon as to indicate that the 3rd prize with 6 out of 7 winning numbers on March 3 (the election of March 1.) was not just a fluke hit.

Another small win!!
This weeks election gave a 5th prize with 4 winning numbers out of 7, plus 1 supporting number which makes out the prize (4+1). Odds 1:138 But the 5th prize is no more than NOK kr.55,- ( or GP ? 5,- ) , just slightly better than break-even and not really the sort of money I am looking for. There are easier ways of picking up an ice-cream.

Since this experiment started with the first election published in advance on Jan 27. 2007, we have gathered 5 wins: 1-3rd prize, 1-4th prize and 3-5th prizes. The first election lasted for 5 weeks through February and didn't attract anything. March has attracted 5 collectings. That is if you want to count the 5th prize as in any way worth while!

The election of March 1. ( http://www.astronor.com/ENTRY2.GIF ) stands out in several ways. I find it interesting that the entry was made both on the day and hour of Jupiter, and the Moon was exact conjunct my natal Sun. There are other connections too, which makes the interpretation of that particular election chart worth while studying. There will be new opportunities to re-test this stuff out as we go along.

You seem to be doing well Andrew, much better than I was able to do.
Anway, thought you might like to know my experiences so far with this area.

I identified two windows of opportunity in 2006, around June and in October/November. During those periods only I bought scratch cards and lottery tickets mainly at elected times. In the first period all purchases were directly from shop terminals but second period I also opened a account into which I deposited money.

Briefly these were my findings:
On elected times for scratch cards I was slightly beating the odds but not making money and had no large wins ? just regular small ones
When I purchased at unelected times I had slightly less ( but probably not statistically significantly) success but found that Jupiter was often prominent in the charts when I checked later. This may be because Jupiter generally represents the optimistic impulse to gamble or because it is either the ruler of or in my 2nd house (depending on house systems).

I did not win anything on the regular lottery in the June period. However I did have one very interesting experience. On one occasion I bought tickets for the Euro lottery and the ordinary UK one at the same time and 4 out of 5 of my numbers on the Euro lottery were identical to the ones on the regular lottery. I didn?t win but it suggested that there was something interesting going on. Rather as Andrew discovered in one of his purchases.

I did win one small amount on the Euro lottery in the November from an account purchase. But again no big wins.

I did elect a perfect time to purchase one ticket based on a combination of the election and my chart. It was 6.36 am in the morning and I thought if I set my alarm for early and got up and bought a ticket them through my on-line account I might win big. However distractions the evening before resulted in me waking at around 7am as I had forgotten to set the alarm. So I concluded that yes the election was good but it just isn?t in my chart to win that big!

So my conclusions so far.
Better chance on winning on the scratch cards ( or .eg. casino gambling) as there is only one moment to consider ? with lottery draws I think it might be that one has to get a ticket purchase chart that resonates with the lottery draw as well as being a good election in itself.

Natal charts will out ? if you are not going to be a billionaire based on you chart it will catch you out and stop you acting on a great election.

And based on my experience elsewhere ( see my horary thread) the time of setting up an on line account appears to be relevant for how easy it is to operate that account but not to the potential for winning from suitably elected individual purchases/deals.

I haven?t done enough elections to test whether 2nd house or 5th is better. I notice Andrew you are using 5th, although Element suggested 2nd as the main target and Frawley is sceptical about 5th as money making house too. There is no question in my mind that 5th represents gambling as a leisure activity I am just not yet certain about the financial side of it.
