Will the great/ huge machines run successfully? 1 by Yikkes! As a sort of revision I am laying out what I think I need to do for a Horary. Horary for Dummies. The chart shows Gemini rising. Mercury is in Leo in the 4th house at 20 degrees I check Mercury. It is direct, it speed is average, it is not in any form of dignity nor debility. I don?t know what it means considering in light? It is not receiving any terrible aspects nor is it likely to in the next few days. But how far do we take this? It is in the 4th house. It is Cardinal so Good. But what else do I take from the house. What else does the 4tth house tell me about the Querant? Nothing or a lot? God only knows which house rules big machines and factories but I am going to go for 5th house. The heart of the enterprise. Massive hugely powerfull smelting machines. This house is also Leo. Is that possible in Horary? What house system is used most often and why? What would that link mean? Anyway they are in the same sign. Must be Good. Sun is 15 degrees in Cancer in 3rd house. It also has no dignity nor debility. But 3rd house is poor. What else can I determine about the Querised from the house its significator is in. Only condition or other information. Does 3rd flow into 5th. Mercury is moving away from the Sun. They will make a 45 in a week. What would that mean? Sun is making a reciprocation with Mercury?s Term of 13 to 19 in Leo. So who gains what power? They make no aspects to each other. The Sun does not receive any serious negative or positive aspects. Where would I go to c!!ontinue this? Triplicity? I?d also consider the Moon. But what? Again see what condition it is in? See how it will progress. But how? Aspects to significators or all? Moon?s for timing I know but what timing? Actually I am beginning to get the feel. It flows significantly differently to moferm Psychological astrology I think, or shoud this type of logic really form the basis of all others? Maybe yes!!! Yikkes Yikkes Yikkes !!!!!! Yikkes! 2 by Draco In order to know how to go about this chart, it would be necessary to know the nature of the huge machines that you refer to, their purpose, and why it is that you are concerned that they might not run successfully. Quote Wed Mar 14, 2007 1:57 am
3 by Deb I agree that we need a bit more information on the question to understand what you are looking for. It would also be a good idea to post the data, to check your points. Also, I?m wondering if you are following a certain text because that might show a certain kind of approach. I check Mercury. It is direct, it speed is average, it is not in any form of dignity nor debility. I will have some sort of dignity or debility but there are probably some factors that you haven?t considered. For example, if it has no essential dignity then it is peregrine, that can often show a sense of aimlessness. If you haven?t done so already, check out the articles on this link http://www.skyscript.co.uk/digintro.html I don?t know what it means considering in light? I?m not sure either, but ?in light? could be a reference to sect. For now, I would concentrate on learning more about the houses and aspects ? that is something that you can learn more about later. It is not receiving any terrible aspects nor is it likely to in the next few days. But how far do we take this? I consider the aspects within orb, (if this is new to you see http://www.skyscript.co.uk/aspectorbs.html ). If Mercury is neither receiving or making any aspects then that is an indication that no much is happening ? usually not a good sign, especially when the planet is also peregrine. It is in the 4th house. It is Cardinal so Good. But what else do I take from the house. What else does the 4tth house tell me about the Querant? Nothing or a lot? It tells us a lot, but that is why we need to understand your question better, to place the meaning it might be offering. For example, the 4th house could show that the querent?s interest is in property, or that they are concerned about a machine that has to dig a big hole in the ground. For other suggestions see http://www.skyscript.co.uk/temples/h4.html God only knows which house rules big machines and factories but I am going to go for 5th house. The heart of the enterprise. Factories have links with the 6th house (the house of labour), but of course as buildings the factory you have in mind might be better represented by the 4th house. You will save yourself a lot of time and frustration by getting a good grounding on house meanings. I would recommend my book - http://www.skyscript.co.uk/temples/contents.html (as most books are, it is cheaper if you buy it through Amazon). Massive hugely powerfull smelting machines. This house is also Leo. Is that possible in Horary? What house system is used most often and why? Most horary astrologers use Regiomontanus ? I believe that horary works well with other systems so long as you are consistent in your approach, but if you don?t use Regiomontanus you should say so in your posts, otherwise we?ll all be at cross purposes. Your other questions lead me to similar answers. There is a lot of information to take in if you don?t know how to focus it, so to begin with try to keep your questions simple. 4 by Yikkes! Sorry. You are really very kind. Floudering is my style of learning. Doesn't go down well in formal academic systems. I tend to need to roughly know ALL and then after a wee while my brain arranges it pretty well. In fact apart from the houses I feel I have a good grasp of what I am trying to do. You answered many things. Horary is a bit like Personal Construct Psychology. It's pretty brutal isn't it! Maybe that is how the world is. Sorry it was a hypothetical question. But the machines are huge ones that press out bits for vehicles and other machines. I only pose questions when really I can't find an earthly answer myself. You know only use a life boat when you need one. My friend is organising the start of their production. Interestingly enough timed for about the Solar Eclipse. As to "Light" reference is often made to whether there is increasing or decreasing light. I'll get the book to help me. Sorry this question about Event Charts or does Horary really cover all heart felt questions? I think Yes. Is there some way to remove the heart felt bit? I'll exhaust myself Just set up a system of querying for research or business purposes? Thanks Yikkes! Quote Wed Mar 14, 2007 11:20 am
5 by Deb As to "Light" reference is often made to whether there is increasing or decreasing light. That?s usually made in reference to the Moon although it is a principle that does apply to all the planets. The Moon is increasing in light when it is separating from the Sun (ie from new Moon to full Moon: the waxing stage), when each night it shows a little more of its illuminated surface. It is decreasing in light when it is waning and moving back to its union with the Sun. As a genernal or underlying principle, the Moon is considered more powerful and creative when waxing (this is the period of growth); when it is waning its energy is less powerful and it is more symbolic of projects that are closing down. Hope you enjoy the book, I?m sure you?ll find it useful. Deb Quote Wed Mar 14, 2007 11:28 am
