I'm househunting on a low budget but want a garden! I haven't seen this flat yet (I live a long way away so will make a special trip for viewings). It fits the requirements on paper, but we all know you can't tell until you've seen it. So I asked, is this the right flat for me? Will I buy it? I followed the method in John Frawley's "Horary Textbook".

Lord 1 is Sun in Pisces - me
Lord 4 is Venus in Aries - the property
Lord 10 is Mars in Aquarius - the price
Lord 7 is R Saturn in Leo - the seller


Lord 7 is in the 1st: seller wants badly to sell. (I know for a fact that it has been on the market a while.)
Lord 1 exalts Lord 4: I am thinking it's better than it is.
Lord 4 is in detriment and own face: property is in a bad condition. In a fire sign: check the heating, walls and plastering. It doesn't have central heating so this fits. Trine well-dignified Jupiter: has other graces. This could show the large garden and view over fields. Exalts Lord 1: may make me happy. Yay.
Lord 10 is peregrine: the price is not too high. In a fixed sign: lack of change. Probably can't get it much lower than it is. Although peregrine planets "tend to worsening", so maybe the price could be negotiated downwards slightly.

Moon has just entered Capricorn. Next aspect is to Lord 4 then Lord 1. Cannot make aspect to Lord 7 or Lord 10.
Lord 1 cannot aspect Lord 7, Lord 4 or Lord 10. Boo!
Neptune on 7th cusp: fantasy land? Maybe.
Lord 2 is peregrine ? I have little cash. Yup.

Summary:
They want to sell. They will not budge on the price. The place isn't in good condition. Maybe problems with heating. I am thinking its better than it is. It exalts me, so maybe I'll be happy there. I see no indications of buying it though as there are no applying aspects save the Moon translating light from Lord 1 to Lord 4, and this is out of orb so may not be a valid testimony.

Any thoughts?

I'm wondering about the price, Lord 10. It's in a cadent house and applies by opposition to the seller. Since a cadent house means 'falling', maybe there is some scope for a price reduction. With Neptune on the 7th cusp, I'd watch out for a dodgy seller. Buying a house or a flat in England seems fraught with pitfalls that certainly don't exist in the States.

Just curious! and a hunch.
Is there a graveyard near the property or a grave in the property.
Something about this property should come to light as both Sun and Venus are applying to Pluto- which ? co-rules scorpio which is intercepted in 4th.

Something "coming to light" sounds right as I haven't seen the place yet I'll be making a major trip down to see it soon. Currently trying to find more properties that look promising as it's not worth going all the way just to see one!!

Good point about the Neptune showing a dodgy seller. (Aren't they always?!)

Gunhilde - I hadn't spotted the aspect to Lord 7 - your interpretation makes sense. Would be great if it would come down further - might encourage me to buy even if the place is a dump, which I suspect it is, being shown by Venus in Aries. Also, it's been on the market for a long time, while similar properties have been snapped up in weeks. Thanks for the comments. I'll post further developments when they occur
