okay when to stop? 1 by granny_skot horary question "What kind of business should I start?" the cusp was a lovely 16 degrees, the significator of the first in the 10th, near the cusp. okay one would think that clear enough. Should I stop there, question answered? the reason I ask is because Smack dab center of the 2nd is Saturn? significator of 2nd on MC, but still, Saturn in second makes me think, should I venture into owning own business or stick with the contract work I've been doing, or does it even apply since it is outside the question? I haven't posted the data in an effort to NOT get the rest of you sucked into looking at the rest of the chart either. the question remains, does the rest of the chart pertain, or was the question answered with the significator in the 10th? 2 by Gunhilde I would think the rest of the chart would always matter, especially if Saturn was the primary significator! Where's the moon, for example? Quote Mon Mar 19, 2007 8:37 pm
by granny_skot you will note Saturn is NOT the primary significator. the primary significator is on the MC. Along with the Second house significator. Granny Quote Mon Mar 19, 2007 8:39 pm
by Gunhilde Oops, I stand corrected. I misread the question. I suppose Saturn then might represent money worries, being in the shape it's in. But to answer the fundamental question, I don't think one would simply 'stop' with the first apparent answer, as there's usually a lot more to the chart than that, eh? Cheers, GH Quote Mon Mar 19, 2007 8:43 pm
by granny_skot That is possible, but I thought I recalled Deb mentioning once to stop when you get to a sensible stopping point, which is why I bring it up, was hoping to get a reference. Granny PS, also wondered if I did take it into account if it would mean to be cautious with money? as it shows money on the 10th house cusp I would think it meant the money would be good??? Not certain, but its just another reason I wanted clarification on what I think is a pertinent question... at what point should you stop, the initial question certainly answered. 6 by kali Granny: When asking about work, the second house always has to be taken into consideration, the ruler and any planets in the house. What house does Saturn rule? kali Quote Mon Mar 19, 2007 10:08 pm
by astro-teacher Extend your reading ONLY to answer the question asked. You could spend hours interpreting a chart for one question and that is not the point of Horary. When your question is answered by the Significators, you have no need to go any further (as tempting as it might be). If you want to know how financially rewarding it will be, ask another question and read that. Aaron Brody www.antiquus-astrology.com Antiquus Astrologia Quote Mon Mar 19, 2007 10:36 pm
by kali Hi astro-teacher: From studying Lilly, all the answers she wants to know is in this horary chart. She can stop with the significator but imo it'd be like buying a new car and not wanting to look at the sticker price. He would answer 5 or 6 question from one chart. kali Quote Mon Mar 19, 2007 10:49 pm
by astro-teacher A horary chart is a Astrological capture of an idea. The idea is specific in what it wants. If someone were to ask "What kind of business would make me the most money" then you can consider multiple significators because your not only including the TYPE of business but also the PROFITABILITY of it. But since it was a singular idea based on the type of career and nothing else, then its best to only look for the answer to that. 10 by Gunhilde I said: I don't think one would simply 'stop' with the first apparent answer, as there's usually a lot more to the chart than that, eh? But I agree with astro-teacher that it depends on the question and how much one is looking for via the answer. GH Quote Tue Mar 20, 2007 10:04 am
by kali It seems to me that you have to at least consider all the aspects that are being made to the significator of the question. the significator of the first in the 10th, near the cusp and significator of 2nd on MC Now, I'm not sure what Saturn or the second house means here. Alot would depend on the houses it rules and aspects it makes to significators. Good luck granny :-) kali Quote Tue Mar 20, 2007 11:49 am
by Virgolass Am I the only one here who likes poor misunderstood saturn? How well is saturn aspected? If it's in the second but well aspected, I'd say it's more pressing you to be more financially responsible. Not necessarily a bad thing for a future entreprenuress Quote Tue Mar 20, 2007 12:49 pm
