I hope you can help me out: I sold two ornaments on ebay recently and the person who bought them is now claiming he only received one of the items, whereas I'm almost 100% sure I sent them both together. The package allegedly arrived untampered and intact but I can't shake the idea that this person is trying to get money back from me under false pretences. I also had a wierd gut feeling around the time of posting that something might go wrongwith this transaction - at the time I put it down to worries about sending porcelain through the post, so I took great care to wrap things well ...

I am merc, on the dc, in pisces in detriment and fall... this doesn't look good. It makes me wonder if I DID have a condor moment when packing the parcel.... what do you think?
is the buyer shown by ld of 7th so Jupiter? in sag so strong in terms of Merc would this show the buyer as honorably intentioned in this matter? what is the significator of the oraments... I've been paid for them so I think they are shown by ld of 8th so Mars ( turned 2nd from 7th) but moon is also a significator of lost items and its in the 3rd house applying trine to north node and to merc... I'm confused....
would be very grateful for any insights as I feel a bit too close to the question to see the answer clearly...

Gosh, this is deja vu. I had very similar chart for a similar question. Mercury in Pieces (laps of memory). Plus your Moon is in detriment and on the cusp of 3rd house communications (mailing packages). I would say something went wrong on your end. Jupiter is being straight with you.

I am wondering about the 12th house ruler being placed in the 8th house, applying to Jupiter. This is a secretive something-or-other if ever I saw one; however, Jupiter does have you at a disadvantage.

I will have to triple and quadruple check the areas I was packing in... if it was my error that would explain the wierd feeling I had and yes the detrimented moon on 3rd cusp does indeed look like a missing package if ever there was. what do you or anyone make of the moon applying trine to merc and nnode? good sign for recovery I think, yes? at this point in time I can't even begin to imagine where the item might be... if it is at my end.
re deja vu - funny this is a 2nd missing item horary ive had to do since the solar eclipse .. which fell in my 3rd... hmm anyone else spotting a pattern!?

The significator of ornaments in general is Venus and the 5th House. May be something you want to figure into your interpretation.

You might try the ?is the rumour true approach?.

The Moon is not within orb of an applying aspect and would be considered void. Lilly says,

If the Moon was void of course, the News proved to be of no moment, usually vain or mere lies, and very soon contradicted (CA, p.192)

However, Lilly takes the time for this as the moment he first hears the news. Any chance you asked the question immediately or near to when you heard from the buyer?

In the next section Lilly gives the rules according to the ancients (without mention of when to time the question ). It says if the Moon is unfortunate ?it?s a strong argument the Rumours are false? (CA, p.194). The Moon is unfortunate in Scorpio, also void. In additon, if Mercury is in any way afflicted (in detriment per your chart may count) or applies to a planet afflicted (I?d say this counts, Merc applies to Venus which is square Saturn and Mars) ?and above all? if Merc is Lord Ascendant ?do signify the ill Rumours shall vanish to nothing, and shall be converted to good? (CA, p.194).

However, it says if Lord Asc or Moon are angular and applying by good aspect to a good planet the rumour is true (CA, p.193). In your case Moon is cadent but Mercury is angular applying to Venus. Ah, but Venus is seriously afflicted by the malefics. I'm not sure how this weighs in.

Overall, there is testimony that the report is false and some that it is true. More testimony in favor of false would seem to depend upon the timing of the question.
