Dear all,

I am tearing my hair out. This is the *second* piece of work equipment to disappear on my shift. The piece in question is a small but rather pricey radio transmitter used to help hearing-impaired children in school. I sent it off for repairs, 1st class, at the end of January. As of yet the company has yet to receive the item. I can only assume that the postal service has lost it somewhere, which is unusual as it was addressed quite clearly with both addressee and return addresses. I am in deep trouble, if it is lost.

So I asked: "Will I get the HandyMic back?"

Venus hour, Leo rises, so the chart doesn't jibe completely, but we'll see. The chart doesn't make much sense to me, as I'm too close to it. Note Saturn in the 1st! But I'll try anyway.

I am assuming that I take the 11th for the significator of the equipment, as it is moveable goods that belong to my place of employment.

It sits in its own house in Gemini, apropo of a communication device. Its next aspect is a square to Mars from the 8th. But why is it in its own house? I am sure I do not have it in my possession! Mercury, which I would think rules the parcel and postal system, has passed a sextile to it. Would this be the posting-off? The Moon culminates, under the Beams. It has already passed a sextile to Venus as well. Am I deluding myself? *DO* I have this piece of equipment?!

I am the Sun in the 10th, which gives testament to it being a work query. It cannot show the grey hairs I am getting, however.

I cannot read this! Oh, help!

Not sure if this is any help but wouldn't the moveable goods be 12th house....3rd from the 10th? In which case the Moon rules the lost item and is in the 10th along with the Sun and you're both ruled by that 8th house Mars...as is Mercury.
Is it possible that you didn't post it and you just can't see it... as its under the Sun beams? Or perhaps it will come winging its way back to you as the Moon moves closer to the Sun in another 2 weeks (14 somethings!)

Before reading this chart I see that you stated the Hour-Ascendant doesnt match up, have you checked the other significators of a Radical chart? If it doesnt have any other significators of a radical chart I would be very cautious in interpreting this and getting an accurate answer, it may cause you even more frustration then you are having over the item itself!

You would of course be represented by the Ascendant and since this question primarily revolves around the act that it was mailed, I would very much look into the Lord of the 3rd (being significator of mail) and its state. Its good or ill state will show you the condition of the items travel, if it is lost or hidden & its journey. Hope that helps you!

Well, the 3rd ruler is Mercury, in the 9th but closely applying to MC (4 degrees or so). He is in Venus' terms and Mars' face. Venus rules the transmitter. The Moon was the last aspect to Mercury and they are both in Venus' terms.

I still don't know what this means.

There are two considerations, I believe, to deny radicality: the Asc/Hour rulers don't match; and Saturn placed in the 1st, it being a non-Saturn question. But I still feel it's worth a shot. This is a costly mistake on my part, and I'll do whatever I have to, to find it, if possible!

I'll go back and re-read CA; but any other suggestions are very welcome.

Having gone and read the lost/missing items section on this site, I am still confused and wonder if I ought to NOT turn the chart.

Moon in an angle would suggest recovery, especially as Fortuna disposits it. Fortuna is in the 12th of hidden things. However, the Moon is under the Beams, which denies it.

The item itself, Venus, next squares Mars, a malefic, in the 8th, which would deny recovery. There is also Saturn to think about.

If you are taking Venus to signify the missing item then the last aspectual contact ? the sextile of Mercury - describes how it came to be missing. This seems to fit well with your story of trusting the item to the postal service, so I don?t think you are deluding yourself. The only worry is that Saturn, as the 7th ruler, is in the first house, suggesting that you may be the victim of someone else?s inadequacy or intent to steal. The application of Venus to Mars in the 8th supports this, or it may be that you have to deal with a lot of frustration and trouble to get it back. I am not sure that you will get this back, but I think you have good reason to argue that you should not be held to blame.

I am not sure why you think Venus is in its own house though; it is peregrine.

I think I was attributing Venus to its own house as Taurus is on the cusp of the 11th, the house that Venus is in. However, you are correct that it is peregrine in Gemini, so I misstated this.

I now have to chase down the postmaster of the main post office in Warrington, where the parcel was sent. Grrr! Sadly I have no documentation to support losing this equipment as I sent it 1st class instead of registered; the folly of trusting the system!

Having just spoken to Royal Mail, apparently after a wait of this long, the parcel has probably ended up in the Lost Mail department in Belfast!!

This explains, I believe, why the 3rd ruler, Mercury, is placed in the 9th house, with a past aspect to Venus: the parcel was sent 'abroad'!

For goodness' sake. If there wasn't enough postage on it (which is probably the case) why didn't they just send it back to me?

Saturn in the 1st: maybe *my* incompetence...
