Event Chart-First Meeting-Question regarding Ascendant 1 by Morpheus Hi All! It is my understanding that interpretation of Events Charts is somewhat similar in nature to Horary and Election astrology (i am student of horary ). Few days ago I worked with two of my past relationships. The basis was “First Physical Meeting chart”. The charts wonderfully told me the outcome over a period of time. One relationship happened 6 years ago and another 2 years ago. I have a little bit confusion. What is the criterion of assigning ascendant to one party and 7th house to the other in First Meeting? Let me be more explicit. In one of the First Physical Meeting Charts I worked. I assigned first house to myself and seventh house to the girl. Are there any situations where we have to reverse the case like assigning first house to the girl and 7th to the boy. Does the party initiating action is placed in ascendant?. If that is the case, our society (i live in Pakistan)is much conservative and I would say that the girl who while meeting any body not related to her is placing herself in a risky situation. Should I, then place her at first house and myself at 7th house? The question becomes more important if i work out event chart (first meeting) for a couple, with whom i am not related. Who would be represented by first house and who by the 7th house? Regards Morpheus https://horusastropalmist.wordpress.com/ Quote Thu Apr 05, 2007 8:21 pm

by Morpheus Thanks! But i also know that querent is assigned Ascendant and Lord of Ascendant in horary astrology and the person who elects a moment for some election is assigned the ascendant. But what about the event chart of a couple meeting for a first time. It is neither horary question nor it is elected. It is a matter of Past. An event chart. From what i gather from your post is that if i approach you for analysis of past First Meeting Event chart you would place me on ascendant and if the girl approaches you for the analysis you would place her on ascendant. The situation is still not clear. I thought that there would be some rules for assigning boy or girl as an ascendant if some one analyses the First Meeting Chart. Suppose if no one approaches you for analysis how would you assign the ascendant if you want to analyse it on your own. 4 by kali Hi STJ: Who does the Asc. describe? Their characteristics should jump out at you and leave no doubt who is who. Does this work? kali Quote Fri Apr 06, 2007 11:58 am
by florenced STJ-- Even though this is an "objective" event chart, it still contains a question, asked by you. You have cast the chart, and you are concerned about the eventual outcome of the event. It is a chart that reflects an event that personally concerns you--so for that reason alone, the ASC would represent you, and the 7th would represent the other person. You are the one asking the chart to illuminate the situation. Quote Fri Apr 06, 2007 1:29 pm
by Morpheus Kali! Assigning of significators on the basis of glaring characteristics does help in analyzing First Meeting charts in situations when the person analyzing is fortunate to be briefed about such information. I was thinking of such situations when this information could not be provided to the analyst. Anyway thanks for the reply. 7 by florenced STJ-- One more thing you could do is to look at traditional male/female significators such as Moon and Venus for her, and Sun and Mars for you, and the houses they rule. Study the receptions and the aspects--and see if that doesn't illuminate something for you. You might also consider simply asking this question as a horary. The receptions and the separating aspects would likely tell the story just as well (if not better, imo) than looking back at the event chart. Particularly if the event really didn't become "anything"-- the cosmos is constantly generating "charts" -- each of which could manifest as or symbolize an event. But the truth be told, is that most of these little seed moments don't come to much of anything (or anything at all). A potent event chart is like a birth--it symbolizes the incarnation of something. If the event is potent, the story should jump right out at you. Quote Fri Apr 06, 2007 1:37 pm
by Morpheus Florenced! Ofcourse Venus and Sun would help as ready reckoner signifiers for female and male.(thanks) But i am relectant to agree that horary chart is an objective chart. The spirit of horary is the conscious effort on part of a person asking question at a moment i.e the Querent. The spirit of ELection is the conscious effort to select a time. I am unable to see how an event chart which could be the symbolism of past combined conscious and un-conscious energies of two persons could be viewed as horary subject to signification of ascendant on the part of person who lateron analyses it. Anyhow, though i dont tend to agree. I would keep in mind whatever you have said and apply it. Thre still remains the question if some one neutral to whole situation is analysing an Event Chart. I dont see him as querent. Regards Morpheus https://horusastropalmist.wordpress.com/ Quote Fri Apr 06, 2007 1:52 pm
by Labalance This is a side question about event charts. Do you only do them for the very first time you meet someone? Or would you do them for the event when something happened between you? In other words, if you were introduced to someone one time and then months later ran into them again and hung out together for hours which event should foretell the eventual meaning of the relationship? Sorry to sidetrack! Quote Fri Apr 06, 2007 5:35 pm
by Morpheus I have found the asnwer I was reading about the Houses and their significations in Skyscript by Deborah Houlding. After careful reading my understanding is that:- -The person who initiates an action or proposes an action is assigned the Ascendant Regards Morpheus https://horusastropalmist.wordpress.com/ Quote Fri Apr 20, 2007 12:42 am
by pankajdubey I have found the asnwer Don't do what archimedes did I was reading about the Houses and their significations in Skyscript by Deborah Houlding. After careful reading my understanding is that:- -The person who initiates an action or proposes an action is assigned the Ascendant There could be a problem with this rule being applied outside conflct and war situation and, it can turn the horary principle of querent gets the ascendant on its head.
