Having looked at the chart I'm afraid I can't add much that is positive..
Your significator (and Moon) are in a weak house and further weakened by their proximity to the Sun, so although the Moon is its dignity, this is overruled by its house position and the Sun. You aren't in a good place with this relationship and the whole situation isn't promising.

He, on the other hand is in a strong house and in his rulership.. showing that he's the boss. However, he is retrograde so he is pulling back/not getting involved/not being honest. So be careful!

Howver, you do make an applying trine with each other, which suggests that there may be a connection or even relationshp for a while, but unfortunately, you meet Saturn first, in the worst possible place, retrograding in the 12th!! Plus you, as Mercury, are the keener one (as the faster moving planet.) So there will be some obstacle or upset maybe which will occur before any relationship can come about.

Also Uranus is in the 7th suggesting upsets and/or lots of "personal space" issues, and South Node is conjunct Asc, which works against the POF placed there.

I would say that due to circumstances, and his reluctance to commit (?) that a relationship won't be the success you hope for. I hate being such a bearer of bad news! But you can do better than a retro Jupiter!

I have seen the link you mentioned. You are quite right, Skyscript at its best. But as is usual in such kind of discussions, the novice returns back with more knowledge but less conviction. The participant in the discussion supports their views strongly but which approach is the right one is left to the discretion of the readers. I am of the opinion that its very easy to determine whether out of sign combustion is the valid one or in-sign combustion. Horary astrology gives one instant feed back. One has to go through his/her record of cases and has to determine which of the view has more support in his experience. Since, I am less experienced I would wait unless other more experienced one informs me, substantiated with his cases.

However, I checked one of horary book in my possession. This one gave elaborate system of perfection and denial and at the end gave glossary of Arabic and Persian astrological terms.

The author differentiates between Luminaries (Sun and Moon) Planets (Venus, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn) and Points (North node and South Node).

Ijtimaah is a term used when Sun and Moon are in close proximity (So when Moon is in close proximity it is not combustion, it is something else)

Ahtraak is a term used when any of the planets except Moon are in close proximity of Sun (Combustion)

Koran is a term used when any planet is in close proximity of another planet (Conjunction)

Mo-Kakarna is a term used when planets (except Sun) are in close proximity of Moon.

Mojaasda (impure and bad) is a term used when any planet (except luminaries) is in close proximity of Nodes.

So, it appears that Conjunction and Combustion are different ball games. More than observed astronomical phenomena they have some underlying philosophy.
