A question has been posed to me by a friend.

My parents are considering two proposals for me. Which one of the two proposals would be accepted by my parents?

My problem is, how to place or consider two proposals in a single question.(1-7 horary)

-I asked her to tell me the proposals in order of importance.

First Proposal---X
Second Proposal--Y

1-One approach i think is to only consider first proposal in a question. But then there is a bit problem. Suppose horary doesnt support first proposal it donest mean that second proposal would be accepted. As her parents can reject both in the end.

2-Another approach is that second proposal has a relationship with first proposal which first proposal has with the ascendant.

First proposal is 7th....then second would be first house...

3-Third approach is that i use Sports Horary

First Proposal is the first house. Second Proposal is the 7th house.
But then the problem is that in the end both could be rejected.


What should i do in such cases?

If i get some guidance. I will post my analysis.

Without knowing the details it is hard to advise, but look at the applications of the 4th house ruler to judge the parents? interest. If it is only making difficult contacts, this could show that the parents are unhappy with both options, or it might mean that whatever they decide upon could turn out to be bad choice for your querent

Your point is worth trying. Unfortunately the only information i had has been posted.

The question i wrote appears to be most common question in South Asia, where engagements are concerned. I exhausted all the books--which are few to begin with--in my stock. Made an extensive search, all my attempts have been futile.

I have devised a theory last night. (it is better to be run out by three feet than by three inches). If there is nothing, i will make one and see if it works. Here it is.

To begin with. There are 5 planets and two luminaries.

The parties interested are Lord of Ascendant, Lord of 4th house

Exclude these two. You may end up with 5 planets.

The planet which is closer to the Cusp of 7th house, or Making an applying traditional aspect is the first choice. (if it happens to be ruler of 7th house--check another planet)

The ruler of 7th house would always represent the second choice given by the Querent.

Any one of the two, which makes an aspect with L1 would be the most suitable party to be selected by the parents if L4 makes an aspect with reception --if the aspect is harsh one, or benefic aspect wihtout reception.

Let me check this in real life.
