The moon is important in any election so in general there is a good chance that this would be a favourable thing, but unless the grand trine specifically involves the significators for the event then it could be meaningless for your election. It might also be very important to have the significators applying rather than separating.

On the other hand, that grand trine might not be a blessing if it involves planets that are essentially or accidentally debilitated.

If you want to begin a long term commitment to something it might be best to make Saturn prominent, but in other matters we might see Saturn as a potential for damage or delay, so then we would want to place it in a weak house.
