I've recently met a really interesting guy who I went to college with but never really knew at the time. Thing is, he lives in London and me in Ireland, but he has asked me to visit and I shall be there a few times a year with my work. I asked today what the posibility of a relastionship between us is?

Libra rises and Venus my sig is in 10th house conjunct MC in Cancer.

7th house ruled by Mars in 6th house about to change signs at 29 Pisces.

They form a square aspect which I believe to be separating.

Moon in 7th house in Aries trine Saturn, Jupiter and Pluto and sextile Neptune.

Immediate thoughts are that I am much stronger than he is here, in a strong house right at the top of the chart, whereas he is in the weak 6th and about to change signs - however about to shift into his rulership of Aries. BUT Mars in the 6th is strong, which perhaps mitigates this. I read that it helps when the sigs are in water signs, and this is the case at the moment (until he moves into Aries). Could this represent him becoming more active in the situation?

Moon in the 7th I believe to be a positive sign, especially with the number of flowing aspects it is involved in. Next aspect is trine to Pluto which is in the 3rd.

Ruler of communication is Jupiter located in the 3rd trine Saturn.

These are my preliminary thoughts: that there is a connection between us, but it will be problematic because he is not in a position to act at the moment (but maybe will be soon?). Communication between us will be good and the Moon in the 7th to me shows possibilites for a relationship.. Does anyone see anything else that is more concrete, or obvious that I am missing??

Although there is no applying aspect between the two primary significators, there is mixed reception between them - Mars receives Venus through exaltation and Venus receives Mars through triplicity. According to Lily, mutual reception (ruler to ruler) can perfect the matter without an applying aspect, (CA, p.112) but mixed reception is a bit iffier. Nevertheless this mixed reception suggests that you are both open to the idea of a relationship of some kind.

The moon in the 7th, his co-significator, is also receptive to Venus in Cancer (you), so it does seem that he is receptive to the idea of seeing you again, as is in any event clear from the fact that he invited you to let him know when you are in London. Based on this chart, I'd take him up on the invitation and see where it leads. I don't think there's any clear indication of where it will lead but there clearly is receptivity on both sides so that's a good start.

Note that you didn't ask "will there be a relationship", but "is there a possibility of a relationship?" To that question, the chart answers YES, there is a possibility of a relationship.

There is a red flag, however -- Vindemiatrix is rising and square Venus. This star when combined with Venus gives "trouble through love affairs", according to Vivian Robson (p.215). So "proceed with caution" might be the final message of the chart.

Your reassurance about reception was v helpful - and something I hadn't looked at. Seems we are both interested in each other, and I think I'll book that flight... nothing to lose, and I feel somehow rather positive about it..

In your post you said the Moon is the co-significator of the quesited. On what basis do you assign the Moon in this way? I always use the Moon as significator of the emotional concerns of the querent, unless it is the house ruler of the quesited.

The Moon being in the 7th but in the sign of Lord 1 would say to me that the querent wants a relationship not with the person she is asking about, but just a relationship in general, and this particular person has just happened along. Which I think fits with the circumstances.

I get the moon as co-significator of quesited because it is in the 7th, pure and simple, as I was taught by Deb who also says this (in her course notes),

?Sometimes the moon has more relevance for the querent, sometimes the quesited, and sometimes just shows the events that are to happen (sometimes it can be descriptive of all three!?)

I find it's best to be fluid in judging what the moon's about but if it's in the house of the quesited then I take to co-signify the quesited.
