"Liverpool 0 - 1 Milan"
"Liverpool 0 - 2 Milan"

Was my prediction.

However, will have to go back and think things through before Premier League and Champioship start in August.

Thanks Goca for the idea for Time.

What about for Goals.

I'll share....

I go for loose squares as close games, poor to watch.
Tight squares as clear winners, poor to watch.

Loose Trines/ Sextile open/ loose games, good to watch.
Tight Trines/ Sextile open/ good games, clear winners.

Scores sort of come from that.

Reception should also be part of that but not sure of what is good reception and which bad.

I think we could use the 8th to 2nd for "flow" of Goals.

Of course it all tends to woven together.

Each part of the Judgement hinting at the other.

Next Thread ??????

Important to be something that "We Care" about!

Personnally probably I will be working on my "Way" for August.

Other idea could be Golf as it sort of points to more complicated "Specualtions" like Lottery.

Anyway.

Rregardless of whether you got it right or wrong, it was fun :) A pity though for Liverpool as they were the better team(and maybe ironic as they weren't two years ago).
Even though the bookies placed Milan as the faves, I wasn't convinced they were, reading Milan's underdog-like comments like 'we're going to get back what should have been ours' and so on. Liverpool had been one up against them although it was two years ago, the Istanbul match was on everyone's mind.

I agree with everything you say, Gem. Congrats to Goca and Yikkes!; commiserations to the rest of us. Astrology aside, I'm gutted that Liverpool lost but, as we know, the best team doesn't always win. C'est la vie.

I've made about ?30 profit overall on these Champions League games and predicted four results correct out of five, which isn't too bad really. I'm still gutted Liverpool didn't win :-sk but they'll never walk alone :)

Hi Ficina
I know how you feel, I'm still gutted Man U didn't win the FA Cup(and the Champions League trophy, for that matter), especially because they(and Liverpool) could have won...
Still, you did very well overall :D
Working out who the favourites are is like a tricky business; the universe seems to have its own mind about which team should be faves irrespective of what bookmakers say.
I've gathered up past data for about a hundred matches and am going to study them over the summer.
Can't wait for the new season :D
Thank you so much to you all.

Thanks, Gem :D You've certainly got your work cut out over the summer. Me too, as I must catch up on my notes. Yes, picking who's the fave is a pretty hit and miss affair. I seem to have more success with the domestic games where the home team gets the Asc and it doesn't matter who the favourite is. So I'm looking forward to the new season too. Good luck with studying all those charts! And thanks to everybody for all the discussions - it's been fun :D

How do we handle the point that you know who you support but you might predict and then bet against them and then really you want them to loose?

That has to have implications.

And eventualy serious ones.

PS I think I got Liverpool v Chelsea UEFA wrong and Man U Milan out of about 8 others

West Ham was a NO MATCH.

That's good but not good enough.
