Friendship horary

I cast this chart on April 3 at 10:09 am in El Cerrito County CA. This is someone I had a huge crush on years ago, and still maintain a correspondence with. Because the person has become very famous the communication is very intermittent. He has however, been very supportive of my writing and painting and written letters of recommendation for programs etc.
The chart looks good to me since the house of friendship is represented by Jupiter in the seventh (because of the previous crush I'd imagine-or perhaps some lingering emotion?) I am Mercury in the 10th squaring Jupiter and we are both in Jupiters sign which I think means he has more strength but still looks good? The moon is in my sun sign and the 5th which signifies (to me) the fact that any friendship with him has that fame glamour attached to it. Venus is in his sun sign (just a side note) Anything else I'm missing?

Before i proceed with the chart. Read this. I posted it in another thread. See, if this has some relevance. :)

According to rule (yes Tajik). Mercury can not be square to any planet if that planet is in Gemini and Mercury in Virgo or that planet is in Virgo and Mercury in Gemini. Similarly Jupiter can not be square to any planet. If that planet is in PIsces and Jupiter in Sagittarius or that planet is in Sagittarius and Jupiter in PIsces. The apparent square becomes a trine. The rule only holds for Mercury and Jupiter. There is another rule when both are in their own houses and in opposition.

Hi STJ,

I used Regiomontanus on astro.com and it shows Aries contained in the 11th but Pisces on the cusp. I did make one typo, the place is El Cerrito in Contra Costa County, CA. Thanks for looking!

Rather than referring to this as a rule, I think it is better to understand the principle of what is being explained. These would normally still be referred to as squares, but they are ones where there is a very good level of reception involved ? for Mercury because it involves both of his signs and he is in dignity by sign and exaltation in Virgo, and for Jupiter because it involves both of his signs and he is the greater benefic. So these relationships are ones in which Mercury and Jupiter are well placed. But then that has to fit into the circumstances of the chart ?.

Seeing as very recent charts have featured this condition -- Mercury in Gemini opposed Jupiter in Sag -- can you pass along the rule when both are in their own houses and in opposition?

exact wording will elude however, these are the situations.

Remember if the significators are angular they have more power.

Mercury in Gemini opposing Jupiter in Sagittarius.(mercury jupiter effect is more strong)

Mercury in Virgo opposing Jupiter in Pisces.

and few more----

Mars in Aries opposing Venus in Libra.(a bit of tension would still be involved)
Mars in Scorpio opposing Venus in Taurus.

and this one but since Saturn is involved so indication is *bit* fatal

Sun in Leo opposing Saturn in Aquarius.(a yes, answer but should be avoided)

and this one but it would not hold good in relationships question..

Moon in Cancer opposes SAturn in Capricorn.

So, the essence is that if the significators are in their own signs and oppose, then the malefic effect of opposition doesnt come into action.

Hi Keren!

I asked if we would ever be friends. But I've realized that he does see me as a friend, my wish is for more communication. Which begs the question, can that layer be added to this chart, or must a new chart be drawn up?
