I seem to get conflicting stories surrounding the lose of a necklace. I was on vacation and believe I left the necklace in a drawer at the condo. The 1st ruler of the lost item is Venus (ruler of 2nd) is in the 12th house. The 2nd ruler is the Moon also in the 12th a cadent house. Cadent significator usually means that the missing item is far away but I also read that if Moon is in the same quadrant as 1-ruler and less than one sign between them the lost thing is in or about the house of the person. Plus the ruler of the 4th is in the fourth also signifies item is around my home.

Second conflicting story involves the question if I will recovered the lost necklace. With 1-ruler Venus in trine with Jupiter (ruler of 4th in the 4th and ruler of 7th) seems a strong sign that the item will be recovered.

But then I read that 2-ruler Moon applying to 8-ruler with any aspect, there will be no recovery. Plus with 8th ruler in the 8th seems to tell me someone took the item and it is theirs now.

Can anyone help clarify what I'm reading here? Below are the stats.

I would not take that as a strong indication of recovery. You need something to show a reunion between the querent and the quesited and the 4th house signifies neither of these. It represents the nature of the ground or the place where the necklace is, so the trine between Venus and Jupiter would be descriptive of that ? this might show that it is where you left it on holiday, and if we accept the Moon as co-signifying you (as well as the necklace), then the separation of the Moon and 2nd-ruler describes it being lost by you (rather than it being deliberately targeted by a thief). But the Moon?s immediate application to Mars, which is naturally malefic and the 8th-ruler; could suggest that someone else is going to claim ownership of it. You don?t have many indications of recovery here except your significator?s retrograde application to the 2nd house cusp. That by itself is not a very strong argument but it might show you getting some satisfaction by going back to the owners of the condo, being a bit more insistent, and asking them to re-check all of the drawers in your room.
