Less than a month ago I got hair extensions and I LOVE the way they look, except for one problem...I'm caucasian and the method we used (braiding) did not work. My hair is too fine, the braids are coming undone, and the extensions are slipping. Badly. I don't want to give up my long luxurious locks, but I also need something that will last more than a month.

The stylist said she can try a new method, but it involves glue, (not the traditiona.l glue inmethod known to potentially damage hair, but a new one involving a little bit of glue and some hair twists) which I am hesitant to do, as I've heard glue in general ruins your hair. She's assured my that my hair is nice and healthy and should be ok.

So, to ease my fears, I cast a horary: "will this new method turn out well?"

what I get is this: A libra ascendant: good sign for all things aesthetic. I am therefore venus, in leo in ther term of jupiter. leo rules hair, and the tenth house is our outer appearance...so far makes sense. Venus makes an applying aspect to saturn. This freaked me out a bit as it is a malefic, but saturn rules hair. So I read this as the weak peregrine saturn in leo represents my currently messed up hair. The aspect is applying. My appointment could not be made until the end of teh week, and I read this applying aspect as the loosening getting worse (which it has every day now) before I'm able to get in to see her.

However, the stylist, represented by jupiter L6 of servants (which fits, as she is a very bubbly, jovial and chubby woman)is strong in the sign of it's rulership, and both me (venus) and my hair (saturn) are in her term. and in trine. She, is in the term of venus, so there is mutual reception. She is in my second house (this is going to cost me!) and in her own ninth house, again making her very strong. In the turned chart, I am in her fifth house, so I think this indicates she will be using a lot of creativity to make me come out looking pretty good.

At least I hope so!

In June 06 chart the Venus is not in aspect with Saturn.

What's the moon doing in your chart? Haven't drawn my own up yet. The moon will represent the 'activity'. We would hope for some positive aspects/receptions between Moon/Venus/Jupiter.

the moon seperates from a square to venus...when my hair got mucked up perhaps? Applies to a square to saturn...it's still getting mucked up...and finally trines the midhaven...my public self? so maybe it will be fixed?

Hi, this is an interesting question!

Personally I think the poor state of Saturn is a strong indication you should not proceed. He is in detriment and therefore quite a nasty customer. The fact that Lord 1 applies to conjunct him and the Moon also translates light from Lord 1 to him is very strong testimony that by going ahead with this you will get a Saturn in detriment result, i.e. not good!!

We could also use the "next sign shows next style" technique, so we look at the next sign from the Asc (Scorpio), giving you Mars as Lord 1 for the new style, or look at the next sign on from Venus' current position, which is Virgo. Now, Venus is in her fall in Virgo, which is negative testimony as she would be unhappy there. Admittedly she is peregrine in Leo (lacking essential dignity), but this is preferable to being in fall in Virgo (essential debility). I haven't pulled up the chart so I can't remember if the South Node is in Virgo also. If so this is another negative testimony.

Back to "next sign from Asc" idea: Mars is currently at the beginning of Taurus. He is in his detriment (literally: damaged!). Again not good. Also, Taurus being a fixed sign indicates your hair will be damaged for a long time with this treatment.

So overall I think this treatment is looking extremely bad for your hair. I think the best thing to do is leave it alone and let it recover. Lord 1 is currently peregrine, indicating your hair is in ok but it wouldn't take much to really damage it. Much as extensions are great, I think you really should not go through with this idea.

Off-topic: I don't know what your fashion style is but have you seen the whole-head bandanna/hairband things you can get? They do away with all the damage that comes from actually having to put the extensions into your hair. These are great, especially if you want dreadlocks or braids, which put an awful lot of pressure on your roots.

First of all this is not a trivial issue. I class it as most important horary cause of following reasons--

-You have yet to make a decision.

-Hair style gone wrong is a thing embarassing for atleast two or three months.

I observe following indications.

-Angles are Cardinal-Action, change or urgency main theme.

-Moon is in the sign of her fall and not in aspect with her dispositor. So, Moon is not best at work.

-Moon separates from a fortune and is applying/in aspect with infortune.

-Libra as an ascendant and Venus are your appearance.

-Venus is getting slower and slower and within three weeks she will enter her fall (Virgo) and become Rx. She will become direct at Leo 16.

-POF in 5th house (Pisces) is in aspect with his Dispositor. Jupiter though Rx, is in Sagittarius and aspects POF in Pisces. Hence POF is strong.

-What is POF for this horary? Your Hair Who is Jupiter? Stylist (L6)

-Jupiter in Sagittarius is very competent but RX motion shows that the stylist is hiding some vital fact (Jupiter also L3 is in 12th house from L3) to the treatment (which you indicated)

Your hair style is most important for your 5th house matters (North Node and POF are conjunct in 5th house).

Mercury Rx was/is currently in aspect with POF. So, a warning that whatever you are feeling about your hair is mainly a result of miss-judgement or over anxiousness. The matter could be resolved by simple thing than by Glue method.

Ok, a kind of advice from Gryffindor. Venus in Leo and Saturn in Leo suggest one thing. Keep with the present state of things and if people ask questions say that your hair style is Gryffindor style (Lion hair style-- i am serious). After all, fashion is any new thing which ges accepted. The key is that you have to act confidently. Then you can go for a proper treatment in September. Venus and Jupiter no more Rx in September.

You can cast another horary to see if the advice of Gryffindor is good.

well, the hair is not damaged now...it's just a terrible, horribly unflattering cut and I hate it, so I've been taking the peregrine saturn as my current feelings towards my hair, not necessaruly that it's damaged...I just despise it.

I know about the headband thingies...but they won't work for my line of work.

As for a new style, I'd be using the same extension hair I have now (which everyone has loved) just trying to attach it a different way, one that won't come undone so easily. So I'm not sure the "next style" method would per se work, as hopefully it will look exactly the same as it did the first time, just more secure.
