I am new here.

I must admire ,its very useful site about Horary Astro with the all info and examples.Thanks to Deborah Houlding.

I almost read everything ( almost because i am not that patient person) i understood and learned about basic rules but how i still can not see the whole picture i mean,i am checking the houses,planets,i am also making comments about the aspects but when its about putting everything together,i am stuck. its like writing the characters of your book but there is still not a story.Could you gimme some tricks and ....actually anything you think,might help to understand better.

The best advice might be to practise in this forum. Share your comments on different horaries posted in this forum. You may make mistakes. But there is a difference between mistake and blunder. I make blunders. No body is going to criticise you if you make a mistake.

As far as personal horaries or those question which are posed to you, Beware. Read articles by Deborah where she warns us of trivial questions. Judge only those questions which are genuine. The chart would be bit easy.

Horaries normaly center around these categories.

Take hold of a good horary book. I dont know about your back ground. William Lilly is best but then he requires very careful reading. Take hold of John Frawley's book on horary. Professor Benjamin Dykes has done a wonderful translation of Guido Bonatti but the price of the book is on higher side, as he has translated 1800 pages on different aspects of astrology and out of 1800 only 300 are on horary.

There is no substitute for hard work. Try to note your observations/charts on a register. You will learn by trial and error.

If you have questions of idle curiosity then horary is not for you. For genuine questions, by all means learn it as much as possible. Welcome to the world of Moon.

Gryffindor is right. The *only* way to get a grip on horary is *practice, practice, practice*. Reading all the horary theories is a good start, but if you don't *apply* the theory to real charts, all the theory in the world won't do you any good! It really is a 'hands on' skill.
