by 3D Hi Tom, Thank you for a new Mystery Chart. I enjoy reading them. There are, at first sight, similarities with Mystery Chart 13 - Sun, ASC and Jupiter in the same signs and houses - Eastern half is strong. The similarities end here. Chart 14 is much more favourable - or should I say easier to handle for the native. - Mars is in its own sign; its house ruler is also Mars. A very strong Mars, in the 12th house yes, but I don?t think it will hide; so fresh, still covered by morning dew. - Venus is in its own house. It makes a mutual reception with Saturn by house rulership, and a strong aspect ? albeit a square but I think the native can handle that positively. And it is in exact sextile with the ASC, making him friendly to other people, maybe also handsome. - Jupiter is just about to rise in its own sign. A jovial Jupiter. Interestingly, FACIES (M22) is conjunct the sun like in Mystery Chart 13. In this chart 14, I don?t think he will be the victim. He doesn?t hide and this Cluster will rather give him a ?piercing focus to the point of ruthlessness? (Brady), not against himself. Moon near the MC and the ?planet? with the highest elevation makes him popular and emotionally protective. He might be a combative politician or a popular sportsman. An initiative person, self-motivated. Regards Ren? Quote Sun Aug 05, 2007 4:17 pm
by Tom There are, at first sight, similarities with Mystery Chart 13 - Sun, ASC and Jupiter in the same signs and houses - Eastern half is strong. I didn't notice that, and I know 3D didn't state or imply this, but let's get it out of the way right off the bat. There is absolutely zero connection between the natives of Mystery Chart No. 13 and Mystery Chart No. 14. At least not in the sense that the natives were known to each other or are related to each other or even sat on the same bus one day. Nothing. That being said, since the Sun, ASC and Jupiter are in the same signs there may be similarities that astrologer wants to work with, but trust me on this: there is no personal connection between the two. Furthermore the above is not a hint. I haven't even looked at No. 14 all that close. I picked him because there is an interesting story behind the man. That is all for now. 5 by 3D Hi Tom, Although it was not intended, I think it was an interesting comparison. Ren? There are no coincidences- or are there??? Quote Sun Aug 05, 2007 6:00 pm
by azcelt Hi there Thankyou for another mystery chart.I see this person as being a larger than life person with jupiter in its own sign in the first house. I think with moon in virgo on the MC This native may be critical of himself.Mars is dignified in scorpio and in the twelth house I am thinking very secretive. There are a few things that hint at this person perhaps being gay or at least desiring unusual relationship-venus in aquarius in second house. The fifth house is ruled by mars and this again shows some secretive sexual or occult type energies.Gemini on the seventh could possibly reinforce the gay possibility[I know, not everyone with gemini here is gay!] At 84 years old this guy just had his uranus return [if he is still alive] Carreer wise I would think something to do with health/earth/mentoring/service thanks azcelt Quote Mon Aug 06, 2007 1:17 am
by SaturnReturn I'd like to point out that the Sun is not in the same sign as Jupiter or the ASC. ASC - Sag Jupiter - Sag Sun - Cap, but in the 1st house. I'll be back. Quote Mon Aug 06, 2007 1:27 am
by Tom What is intended as an educational editorial follows: There are a few things that hint at this person perhaps being gay or at least desiring unusual relationship-venus in aquarius in second house. I am not dismissing the above conclusion as out of hand in this case, but I think this is where a lot of delineation goes wrong. Venus is in Aquarius once a year and millions upon millions of people have it in their charts. Therefore, I think it is unwise to generalize without supporting testimony. In this case Mars in Scorpio in the 12th may be looked at that way if the astrologer wishes to do so (square Venus by sign), but in my opinion, and that is worth roughly what you're paying for it, there should be some kind of strong connection to tie the two together. Venus in Aquarius may well be in the charts of people with unusual relationships, but there are problems with this delineation. What, precisely is "unusual?" What kind of relationships? With Venus we would immediately think sexual relationships, but what then is the significator for unusual friends? Venus in Aquarius might well signal to the astrologer that the native could well have unusual relationships, and I think this might be a red flag, but without supporting testimony I'd leave it alone. Also what then of the fact that Venus is in the 2nd house? How does that fit in? It seems that authors of cookbooks would do well to take a chapter or so to explain that the cookbook delineation is a beginning, not an end in itself. Secondly is Aquarius unusual? I don't see how. Aquarius is a fixed air sign ruled by Saturn, the planet of convention. Air is the mental quality. It is Uranus' supposed rulership of Aquarius that has planted the idea of lack of convention being associated with Aquarius. It is not a traditional idea. By definition astrology is unusual, and therefore dating or marrying an astrologer could be construed as an unusual relationship. All that being said azcelt isn't so far off, but I would caution anyone reading this that this is not the main thrust of the native's life. We haven't touched on the following technique to my recollection and I apologize in advance to anyone who has done so, But Venus in Aquarius is smack on the ascendant of the native's pre-natal eclipse. This chart is worth a look as well. Tom Quote Mon Aug 06, 2007 11:25 am
by Deb Only have time for a snippet in a tea break. Moon is elevated on the MC. It rules the 8th house and is separating from a sextile of Mars (which is in and rules the 12th house), and then applies to the trine of Mercury which is in the 2nd and rules the 7th and 10th. He looks to be very cunning, ingenious, probably quite ruthless; marked by enemies or adversity but able to rise above it. Jupiter rising suggests he had his fair share of luck. All that, just for me to say that I think he built his own fortune. Quote Mon Aug 06, 2007 12:17 pm
by azcelt Hi Tom, I appreciate your critique and apologise for my "cookbook" approach. Never thought of it that way but that is actually why traditional astrology is the direction I am now starting to travel I love the precision when in a skilled practitioners hand and I am studying. Thanks for your input. I know I was reading uranus as ruler of aquarius and thus saying "unusual" Thanks Quote Tue Aug 07, 2007 4:36 am
by Tom Azcelt, Please don't apologize. My remarks were not intended that way. We all start somewhere and I've said over again that I want people to post to these things regardless of level of expertise or experience or previous viewpoint. My main point is that the "cookbooks" are a starting point. If I'm looking at a chart and trying to describe an aspect or placement, I look at cookbooks from time to time just to find the words I might be looking for, or an idea. On the other hand there are a lot of charts out there and many of them have similar placements, but obviously they are not all alike. Now as for "unusual relationships," in this chart it has relevance, but we need to sort out what that means. "Unusual" is anything that is not the norm and the norm is defined as that which most people do. To use a vulgar example, most people do not marry their sister, therefore that would be an unusual relationship. In fact it would be so unusual as to be spectacular. We don't need to look for the spectacular when we think of something unusual. With Venus in this chart aspecting both the ASC and the ruler of the ASC, sexual relationships are going to leap into our minds. Since the ASC is involved this "unusual relationship" will probably not remain hidden or may not be hidden at all. Saturn aspects and disposits Venus and Saturn is in Scorpio, the detriment of Venus. Saturn, Scorpio, Venus and none of this is attached to the 7th house. In addition, we have Mars, Lord 5, in the 12th. What is this telling us, and how might it tie into his relationships? Keep in mind this is not the main thrust of his life, but it does play a role in important events. As Deb points out, the Moon's last aspect was to Mars. Look at the Moon and the MC. They straddle he fixed star Denebola, while the ASC and its lord hover near the malefic fixed star Antares. The native has two powerful fixed stars on angles conjunct planets. Surely they are important. Just a few hints to start the day (well it's the start of the day on the East Coast of the US). Keep in mind my reference to his "unusual relationships," is not the end. They or it are incidental to the major events in the life, but they do play an important role. Tom Quote Tue Aug 07, 2007 11:21 am
by RC Well, I'll give my 2 cents tho my education in astrology is very ltd. compared to those here. I'd say at a quick glance, that he may be a person of importance and dignity, being that Jupiter is on his Ascendant in its own sign. He may be philanthropic. I would think he has achieved some degree of fame or has made a mark in his position/career due to moon conjuncting his MC. And I would think that money came very easy to him from his career being that his 10th is ruled by Mercury, his eleventh (income from 10th) ruled by Venus, a benefic and both are conjoined in his 2nd house of finances which show that he has profited from his career. He also has the Sun in his 2nd house, another benefic which is semi sextile his Jupiter in the first. I haven't brought his chart up in my software to view it better and will post more later.
