Tom I've been looking at my horaries too long! I've been thinking this man all along to be ruled by Jupiter, like you do with Querents of the question. (Although a planet in the first I suppose can act as one's co-ruler if I remember correctly?) But here, from your hints, Jupiter in the first house isn't the man, its his powerful father, ruler of the 4th. I learned that I have a " cookbook"approach but never opened any book for this chart.My poor head is an astrology cookbook! The point is the same the world over) 2) the degree occupied by the Lord of the eclipse, i.e. domicile ruler of the eclipse point in a solar eclipse. Domicile ruler of the light above the horizon in a lunar eclipse,which means that a lunar eclipse can have different lords in different parts of the world. 3) Angles of the eclipse which is cast for the birthplace. Planets in the nativity that hit these points are often important and the points are often activated by eclipses, lunations, return charts, transits, etc prior to important events in the life. One theory is that the pre natal eclipse represents the seeds that grow or bear fruit in the nativity. For whatever reason the two charts are connected. In the nativity, Venus is at 3 Aquarius, the same degree as the pre natal ASC, making transits lunations eclipses etc that hit this point have an increased effect. Mercury, Lord of the prenatal eclipse is widely conjunct Saturn in the 8th in the eclipse chart. Mercury, rules the 7th in the nativity and played an important role in the life as we will see later on when I post the name and background of the native. Notice the prenatal eclipse point is one degree from the natal Moon. Every lunar return in this man's life will hit his pre-natal eclipse point. Mercury is at 12 Libra and in his 1953* solar return, the Moon was at 11 Libra 51. What is the Moon in his nativity? What is Mercury? Go think on that before you peek at the answer.
