I wouldn't think this is a refranation. Even if Venus doesn't Rx as far back as Mars was at the time of the horary chart, the sextile does perfect in real time. The aspect also perfects again in October after both planets have changed signs, albeit both of them into detrimental signs, so it's a perfection with a twist.

I'm working on a chart with similar conditions (although Mars in my chart is at 16Gemini50, so Venus does Rx back over it). At this stage I'm thinking of saying that the parties will get together after a delay but that both will have to give a little because of the movement into detriment.

Why do you say that? They DO complete the sextile. Although Venus is retro, she and Mars complete an exact sextile on Sep. 3 about 7:20 PM EDT at 17' 01 min. each. Venus does not go direct until several days later on 9th and then they catch up with their next sextile in different signs but they do complete the first sextile in your chart from those signs.

And anyways, the moon is there completing aspects to them both while in those signs (translating light) as well if you're concerned about the retrograde condition at time of sextile .

Technically speaking, I don't think it is considered refranation just because one planet is retro when they complete the aspect. Would be interested to hear any contrary info on this.

My apologies!! I am still very new at this and learning. I thought Venus had to touch Mars degree in the chart. So if in real time if Venus did not perfect the sextile and turned direct then it is refranation.

You will soon note that that rarely happens. When it does, it makes the aspect even more signficant. But you need to study up on orbs. Each planet is allowed a certain number of degrees of orb of influence.

Yes. If Venus went direct before they completed the exact sextile and it was never *exact* in degree and minute before they left their current signs (in your chart) THEN it would have been a refranation. But again, the moon would have fixed it ! :D

The question asked was will they marry.
I took the 9th to represent my in-law and his 7th the lady he is supposed to marry (radical 3rd)
Mars and Venus are forming a sextile so it looks very likely that they will marry right?
THere is not much reception between the sigs but it is an arranged marriage so its ok I guess.
As of now the situation is, he is travelling overseas to meet her but we still dont know if he will decide to marry her as he is not giving any indication to anybody.
So will he marry her?

Your post shows you posted this at 3:46 pm today. And your profile shows, I think, that you are located in US. Here, on eastern coast where I am, as I write this it is now 12:51 PM EDT.

(I've never figured out the time on this forum. I adjust my profile +5 I think, but it still doesn't reflect my local time) Anyways, if you had marked a different time, you still need to post the time and place you asked that question for an accurate chart. The chart I just pulled up has 00 degrees rising (& not radical).

Being Miss Virgo, I would think you would have paid attention to such details. :lol:

The above chart was created with that question on mind which was asked on Sept 2nd of this month.
Its to do with my bro-in-law (husbands brother) There is a lady whom the family would like for him to marry. Its an arranged marriage.

Heres some feedback on this horary. My BIL did go overseas to meet the girl but did not seem very interested but just hours before he was to return he decided to get engaged to the girl. Once he was home he was very upset about the decision he had made and angry at his sis but after more persuasion from her and since he feels bad to go back on his word to the girl he has decided to go ahead with the marriage which will take place around Dec 2nd week.
