How bad is my tooth?

1
Hi all,

Something odd happened to one of my wisdom teeth 3 or 4 days ago. I thought I would sit it out and wait for it to get better. But, it hasn't, and now it's really starting to hurt. So I've spent the morning calling various dentists and helplines. Thanks to the wonderful NHS (or lack of), my only two options so far are to go private or to wait until it's so bad the hospital will treat me as an emergency patient. Hurrah! So I did a chart to answer two questions: 1. How bad is my tooth/what's wrong with it? and 2. Will it get better on its own or should I spend the money on private treatment?

15 Sag rises.

As my teeth are in my head, would I be right to take Jupiter in Sag as significator of my teeth? This is a hot planet in a hot sign, i.e. there is too much heat, which fits with my suspicion that an abcess has formed in my cheek (yay!). (Too much heat leads to spots and boils as I recall?)

Jupiter is at 20 Sag, indicating there is a while to go before the situation improves (the next sign is blissfully cold Capricorn!). As Jupiter is a slow-moving planet, this makes me think that this won't go away on its own.

Jupiter being in a sign it rules obviously doesn't show a healthy tooth, else there would be no question! Rather, it makes me think that the tooth is happy being "too hot" and won't easily be dislodged from this state. Also due to its essential strength it is free to manifest its pain!!! Again, testimony that it won't go away on its own.

Unless of course I should be using Lord 2 to show my tooth: Capricorn is on the cusp, which rules bones and teeth. Saturn is peregrine and in the detriment of Jupiter (although in this case we have a cold planet in a cold sign and I can't see how too much cold can link to my symptoms?).

The next important thing is to look at the Moon to show the course of events. She separates from a square to Mars (Lord 4,11,12) and applies to a sextile to Jupiter, then a conjunction with Mercury (Lord 7,9) which is just within orb. Moon translating light of Mars to L1 certainly looks like surgery!

So overall it looks like I'd be better off spending the money?? If I could get an appointment then I would surely try!!

Please could someone else look at this chart who has more experience of medical questions? I'm not really that au fait with medical horary. In the meantime I'm going to try ringing the helpline AGAIN! and try to get an NHS dentist appointment!!

Hi Keren,

Treating your question like any other health question, I'd look first at the 6th house where we find a fixed sign, Taurus, on the cusp, suggesting the problem isn't going away any time soon. Venus is slow and in detriment in Virgo in 9th in mutual reception with Mercury in 10th house of "the cure". Can you get help without spending a bundle? Capricorn on 2nd, Saturn (natural sig of teeth) conjunct SN in 9th ... hmmm I wonder why the 9th house is so emphasized? I don't know how it works over there, but is going to a dental college and getting it done free by students a possibility?
Mercury rules 7th house of the doctor too. Mercury is slow and peregrine as well, so I'd stock up on the painkillers while you search out a solution to your tooth problem. On the other hand, the moon, although slow, applies to sextile Jupiter. Perhaps help is on the way?

Nothing worse than a toothache. :x You have my sympathy.

Keren,

I admit to a cheeky smile at your location connecting to your Horary Question.

Your Significator as the Querent is Jupiter well placed in first House. Your tooth - Second House and Significator is Saturn. Saturn is on Cusp of 9th House. Mars - abcess, infection is in 7th and trine Sun in 11th. I'd would suggest you get to the root of the problem and get Professional treatment. An abcessed tooth isnt any fun and can lead on to more health problems - this tooth is screaming for attention with every heart beat!

PS. I'm familiar with this issue and the abcess wont go away without treatment.

Interesting that you all said the problem would not go away, and that things would progress slowly. I'm doing it through the NHS and I suspect it will be a couple of weeks before I get sorted. The cure is surgery - the emergency dentist I finally saw said that all my wisdom teeth need to be taken out, even the ones that don't hurt!

There is no abcess - it is only "trauma"! So taking Saturn to show the tooth makes more sense to me now.

I'm dosed up on painkillers and preventative antibiotics - will post further developments as they occur!

Keren

here is a recepie to numb a pain for a short time

1 tb spoon of baking soda and salt .. add 1 glass of water
after salt and baking soda dissolve .. gargle it a few times for 1 minute or so each , and that will flush the infection out for a short time. last thing you need is infection spreading along your gums.

best of luck
