Why were we created?

1
I was thinking as many often do, why man was put on the earth. What is the point of life, why were we born/created, etc.

Now, I know those who believe in every word of the Bible as written think they know the answer to that question but for those who ponder such questions, this is not readily apparent and remains a mystery.

Even when we think we may have found the answer, there is always an awareness that we could be wrong, what if we are wrong? etc.

Sometimes I wonder if GOD is combination of all the planetary rulers that control our lives. But still that doesn't answer the question as to why we are born. Maybe the planets are instruments of GOD. I've no idea!

I've studied so many different religions, studies, sciences, etc. And still I wonder. I've been born again, couple of times, I guess now. I've been electrified dozens of times in meetings by what they call the Holy Spirit and that is indeed an awesome experience and cannot be adequately described to anyone who has not experienced it. I feel I've heard God speak to me at times. I know I've had a guardian angel protecting me at times or goodness knows, I wouldn't still be here. But still I wonder WHY is man born? Why are we here?

For the first time, I actually did a horary question on that.

Here it is:

Why were we created?

Hi
Your question is based on the belief that you were created by somebody else but how do you know it`s true? I know that the concept originates in the Bible and it implies the existance of a separate entity standing apart from human beings. If you study other religions and spiritual teachings you`ll encounter completely different concepts.
Even assuming we were created, woud it be possible to understand such a question from a horary chart?

When I used the term "created" and "God" I used them loosely. There gets a point where you have to communicate. I can't speak in a dozen languages/beliefs all at once. I think the gist of the question should be understood the way it was phrased, by any belief.

I didn't have any particular way of coming into being formulized. I realize there are many different beliefs out there. That is partly the point of my question.

From my brief study of the chart, I would say that the Theosophists' teachings are described by this chart as well as many traditional religious beliefs.

Mars, Man, is in his fall in Cancer, 4th. His only applying aspect is to the Moon's Lord, Uranus. Sun also in fall, is moving into the sign and house of Scorpio of death, re-birth and regeneration. Once Sun moves into that house and sign, it will be in trine to the Lord of that sign and house, Mars.

Moon VOC in last degree of Aquarius where Sun is in detriment, is about to enter the 12th house (past lives, karma, the other unknown and unseen worlds) - also relevant. I think anyone studying the chart can find some interesting things there.

I think the chart demonstrates that Yes, you can to some degree. Having so many books ("Holy" books) that purport to answer the question, in my opinion, doesn't answer the question any better than this chart could for this reason: Why would you believe in someone else's word that was written thousands of years ago and translated and re-translated, under oversight of certain pre-dispositions and agendas?

I think asking a question like this, studying it, meditating on it, could be just as revealing or correct as any other teaching, if you were willing to invest the input/thought needed. And it might help explain some of what has been handed down. Here I can see the argument regarding reincarnation and the concept of the fallen man. Also it shows the circle of life if you look at the dispositors.

I don't know. Maybe everyone would see something unique and not necessarily what I would see.

Every horary chart has to be set against a framework and context, so I am wary of questions like this, where the framework and limits of the question are unknown. As a way to understand ?belief? I think we are limited by existing beliefs, so the chart can operate as a mirror that brings them more strongly into focus. This is a very personal chart and a very personal question, so perhaps it is unrealistic to expect it to mean anything to anyone else.

I am curious about why you talk about Uranus being the ?Moon?s lord? through, rather than Saturn which traditionally governs Aquarius. Elsewhere you seem to apply traditional rulerships, or at least you consider Mars and not Pluto as the ruler of Scorpio. I also wonder what house system you are using, because I don?t get the Sun anywhere near the 8th house.

Hi Deb:

My default settings are Alchabitius Semi-Arc which puts 8:44 Scorpio on 8th.
Sun at end of Libra (in 7th) is next moving into 8th is what I had meant.
Classical HS puts 4 degrees on the cusp and of course using whole signs puts 8th at 00 Scorpio with Sun at 28 Libra.

I typically look at all planets. I've always thought of Mars as Scorpio's ruler and Pluto a co ruler. When I spoke of Uranus as Lord, I meant dispositor of Moon's placement.

As far as whether you can ask or expect an answer to this chart, I don't know. All I can say is I was specific as to the question in asking about all of us as humans. I didn't ask or think about why was *I* was created. That was not in mind when the thought of this question came to me.

Thanks for the feedback.

Great Question RC.

Perhaps you were a Test Pilot in a Future Life.

"We were created to enjoy ourself without doing deliberate or significant harm to others".

For a long time it has been shown to me that planet Earth is a critical part of the System/ Universe, and far from being a sort of hopeless blue green lump of rock.

It's the Enzyme of the Galaxy.

It's a living creature itself and we should help her be as healthy as she can be and then we'll enjoy it/ ourselves more fully.

You live, you die, live before you die.

Hamish.

PS If I get round to this one I'll start with us, Astrologers, as 11th house.
Yikkes!

While we are at it, there are two poems or meditations I wrote that I would love for someone to read. Astronomy, Astrology and Metaphysics have been with me since I was a kid. Within the limitations of my language and learning I tried to put together some sort of comprehension of how science, religion and myth related to one another. But why hide it away if it can give nourishment to the thought-prosesses of someone else!
