The double underdog!!

Somebody explain: Lens - Lyon 3-0
That is the 2nd or 3rd time I get screwed this week by the double underdog! :-sk :-sk :-sk

How can Lyon who is the super default of the French league loose 3-0 to Lens who are 2nd but last in the same division. Lyon has 42 pts and is 3 pts and one game ahead of the team in the 2nd place in the same division. Lens has 20 pts and is 2nd but last in this league. :-sk :,

It is hard to imagine the football world being anything else but corrupt!

However, I made money on a triplet combining Barcelona, Inter Milan and Exeter at 2.61:1. And the combination of Everton and Twente gave 3.87:1, too. So I guess I shouldn't be complaining. But where's that jackpot!?

Lens - Lyon
I been lay awake all night thinking on the problem. You would have to give Lyon the ascendant. The Moon's opposition to Jupiter, L7, is unconvincing and could be interpreted either way.

But Mars is almuten of the 7th, since he gathers dignities through both triplicity, term and face. His location in the 10th could explain how the underdog got it, but it is still a wonder to behold.
-------------------------------------------------------
The Moon is VOC, as Ficina points out, in this evenings games but in one of the signs it can work from, Cancer. POF/POS is more closely in aspect to Venus than NN. This could also indicate the favourite, Liverpool, unless you want to consider that Venus is AL7, by exaltation and term. If the game starts one minute late, then Taurus looses the MC to Gem :P and Venus is no longer AL7. Testimonies would be in advantage Liverpool since Saturn sits on the asc and is mr L10.

The Moon, who is lady of the hour, rules the ascendant by triplicity which is a relationship I am monitoring for draws (the triplicities either share things around, or collect virtue, or get their rally from joined forces). The same in the game between Chesterfield and Hereford, which starts 15 minutes earlier. I'm going for the draws. 8)
---------------------------------------------------------
Last, I go with the favourites Marocco in their opening match against Namibia today 15.00 GMT. Here I give Marocco the ascendant. The asc is 18GE32, Saturn is the lord of the hour. L1 is mr with LHr. POF is 6SG09 and in a square to Saturn through signs of L.A. This I judge in advantage of the favourite. The Moon beholds the asc by a semi-sextile.

Not had chance to look over the weekends results yet.

It seems as if deciding the ascendant is the main issue presently, as results are hinging mainly of this interpretaion.

Andrew, as well as home/favourite/colour, are you saying that dependant on whether the asc/des has most dignity by ruler/trip/term/face then this should be the home team or the favourite? If I am following you correctly?

As for tonight does VoC mean draw, we'll see. If does mean draw then what determines whether its 0-0 or 4-4!?

Good questions, John! This is a fruitful discussion.
I'm not looking into colours. I give the home team the ascendant, or the favourite gets the ascendant if this is by default, or I am looking for testimonies in the chart that move the visiting team, who is the favourite, to the ascendant. Let's just work on this one a bit. I had a chart last week where the lord of the hour opposed the ascendant and I took this of a token of moving the visitor to the ascendant and it worked. If there is agreement between the lord of the hour and the ascendant, this seems to give a testimony towards the favourite (but then Lyon cocked it up yesterday!!)

Because the Moon is VOC in a sign that she agrees with, I think we are likely to see goals in a draw. But I feel my expecations are at a research level. I can't predict the final score. I haven't come that far, yet! 8) If I can find out who wins the contest, or whether it ends a draw, I will be most happy!

Marocco was a good bet at 1.43:1. After 5 minutes they are leading by 2 goals to nill! 8)
-------------------
Marocco won 5-1!!
--------------------

Cashed in on Mali beating Benin 1-0.
The game started in the hour of Mercury, with Mercury opposing the ascendant. This is in advantage to the favourite who is on the ascendant.

Liverpool-AstonVilla 2-2! 8) :'
The VOC Moon must have played a part. I must correct myself. The game started in the hour of the Moon with Virgo, the sign of her triplicity on the ascendant. The draw occuring under this relationship is interesting, but I was mixing terms because it was where the lord of the hour and were in the same triplicity (but different signs) that was the condition I thought would bring about the draw. In my notes from 1995 I have that when the lord of the hour rules the ascendant by triplicity, this is an inidation of correctness and that matters are carried out in a correct manner.

Chesterfield beat Hereford 4-0 in the game that started 15 minus earlier. No draw here :( The diffence between in this chart is mainly POF/POS sextile to Venus. This gives precedence to the favourite and did not pick up on Venus' dignities on the 7th (AL7).

4 goals scored in both matches!!

Bucking the underdog by odds Egypt in their match again Cameroon today gave a beautiful 3,25:1 in odds (the moment was not radical and moved the victory away from the favourites). Together with Swansee and Cambridge the combination was worth 5,75:1.

But the evening wasn't overall easy - and there are still things to be learnt.

Tottenham-Arsenal 5-1 !!
I never bucked this game. Arsenal will soon be underdog if this keeps up!

Moon square antiscion Mercury (L1) was the only testimony I could see so this favoured the Asc team which I assume was Spurs - home team + colours. I don't know who the faves were.

Can Everton knock Chelsea out of the cup in tonight's semi final, second leg?

Testimonies for Asc team
Moon opp Mercury (L1)

Testimonies for Desc team
Moon trine antisicion Jupiter (L7) - indicates they will probably score

But who gets the Asc? Chelsea are faves but only marginally so. Moyes, the Everton manager, has said they are definitely the underdogs. Colourwise, Everton wear blue and I assume Chelsea will be wearing their fluorescent yellow.

Going back to the Wigan/Everton game where I predicted Wigan would win 2-1, it was very frustrating to find out that Everton won 2-1 :x Since Wigan wear blue, they should probably have been Desc since Jupiter is royal blue.

In the Everton/Chelsea game we have the same sigs, Mercury and Jupiter, so perhaps Everton should be Jupiter and therefore the Desc. Does anyone else have any thoughts on this?

I gave Everton the ascendant in the game against Wigan.

Everton - Chelsea, 20.00 GMT
Odds: 2.80 3.10 2.50

The match starts in the Day and Hour of Mercury, who has his sign and exaltation on the radical ascendant. POF/POS is square Mars through signs of short ascension. These testimonies alone are strong arguments in advantage of the favourite. Saturn on the asc is mr Mercury, L10. It seems as if the matter is resolved according to whether the favourite will win or not. I am going with Chelsea.

Ficina - You once related to some odds from Unibet for a match already played. Where do you find these odds for games that already are played and the bet completed?

I've pounded on yesterdays results in the African Cup for Nations.
Egypt - Cameroon 4-2, Cameroon favourites by odds
Sudan - Zambia 0-3, Zambia were favourites by odds.

The first match has 16CN21 on the asc in the hour of Mercury. The chart is not radical. The second game has 21LE51 on the asc. The contest starting in the hour of Jupiter. I have not been sure whether a fire asc in the hour of Jupiter (by day) proved the chart radical, but here he rules the asc by triplicity so the chart is radical. Zambia, the favourite, had no problems in beating Sudan.

Click a date on the calendar, then click on the game.

I'd forgotten about this site. I could have checked the Spurs/Arsenal game myself, duh! Thanks for the info anyway, Gem :)

If I've got the colours correct for tonight's game, then I agree with Andrew that Chelsea will win - unfortunately. Hopefully I've got them wrong :P
