My football predictions have been well below par of late. Which again brings me to the thought that I prefer a good horary rather than judging by the event match.

I noticed that some of the participants were judging matches on basis of a combust POF. This doesn't match with my understanding of combustion at all. How can a part be combust? On the other hand, maybe the concept is worthy of some thought.

It does seem strange I agree, but obviously it's something that JF has found to work so it's worth testing out. It worked in the Everton/West Ham game yesterday where it wasn't sufficient for the faves to lose (no supporting testimonies?) but enough to produce a draw. We shall see what effect it has in the Chelsea/Arsenal game today, although it is slightly over the 2 degree orb that JF advises.

I feel at complete loss with this game, Ficina, and admire anyone who has got the guts to say anything about it. Saturn square the Midheaven may level things off.

My ambitions are not at this level at present. I can make no propper sense out of it. I don't mind sticking to charts that appear more clear cut - and will be jubilant if Liverpool beat ManU, but then that feels like a long shot, too.

With Castle Beseigement there is an initial consideration on the condition of the Moon to establish whether the circumstances exist for a draw.

I can't decide whether the Moon's condition, or the radical nature of a chart(or lack of radicality) has to be an initial consideration before the other "accepted" conditions on the outcome of an event can be assessed?

I think you are on the right track, John. This is my sweat and bother, too, but I can't make head or tails of it at present.

I think I might give priority to the most extra-ordinary feature of the chart, probably before radicality. Then any particular feature of the 10th and its lord may also overrule the chart. In the next position I would try to determine whether the contest should be judged according to the rules of favourite vs. underdog, or hometeam vs. guests/enemies. I am under the suspicion that the question of radicality sets the rules somewhere at this stage.

I am still hoping to make some absolute sense on the question of radicality. But it could be that all testimonies are conditional. The task then lies in descibing the contest at hand, how the chart describes the match and which conditions do apply.

This was one of the most interesting obserations of the weekend, since it involves a double consideration.

I hate astrology when its messy and I can hardly live with myself when I get things wrong. But I do think the team continues to work well and should be running for a Nobel prize by the time things get sorted out.
