Following up on Ficinia's post:
Yes, it's like the hour lord isn't getting the backing of the boss!
It's like the hour of the Moon on the day of Saturn:
"Milk? No milk!! What do you mean, we've run out of milk!!!?"
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Put in another way, the Moon (hour) under Mars (day) may grant a child but not without the danger of some inflamation or infection.

Gem asked:
If the Lord of the Hour is in harmony/good relationship with the L7, does it favour L7? Probably not, but if the L of Hr is also the L7 and is in a good condition??
I lost money on assuming that possibility, so I haven't been able to show it yet. I reasoned that it was because it didn't apply to the question of radicality. If LHr is L7, this means that the same planet is detrimented on the asc. This complicate the question of radicality. The matter is on thinner ice, might not work out as hoped for or push victory away from the favourite. But observations are not conclusive.

Ficina, you passed comments about radicality and the question of draws. Excellent thinking really and I was thrilled about the way you imagined a flat/level football pitch! My expectations are that radicality opens the path for the favourite, I've already said that, but that may not always be the case - and if we can detect more of those draws - Wonderful!

Every football game is a different balance, isn't it?

I hope I'm wrong but it looks like England and Scotland are both going to be beaten in tonight's international friendlies. Both games kick off at the same time. France/England, 9pm CET, Paris. Scotland/Croatia, 8pm GMT, Glasgow.

The charts are radical. Venus rules both hour and Asc - advantage faves (France and Croatia).

France/England, Asc 26,50 Libra. Moon trine Sun (L10) - France. Both planets also trine MC. The only thing going for England is ant Saturn (L4) sitting on the Desc but I can't see that being of much help.

Scotland/Croatia, Asc 20,9 Libra. I don't see any testimonies for either side, so I guess Croatia win on radicality.

Andrew thanks so much for answering my questions.

Exactly. Getting draws right is more profitable(we get better prices for draws) :D
Every football game is a different balance, isn't it?
Yes that's one of the things I find difficult. No charts are the same (even though we get identical charts, the participants are different) and what worked in one chart doesn't necessarily work in another.

I have't got much time now( have to cook dinner and the friendly between France and England is kicking off in an hour but here's my first attempt using Andrew's radicality.

28/3 1945 Doncaster/Nottingham Forest
odds: 2.20/3.25/2.75
Not radical. L7 is in conjunction with POS. Looks good for NF but as the Moon is VOC, not sure. But it's not angular and is in applying trine to anti-L4(Saturn).
I haven't considered the Lord of Day here.
Which has a stronger say, Lord of Day or Hour?

Ficina
I hadn't seen your post when I posted. I can't make my mind about France/England and haven't looked at Scotland/Croatia.

Scotland might be better off than England, seeing that the exaltation degree of Saturn is on the ascendant, and the Moon applies by a dexter square through signs of longs ascension. Hence, Saturn has dignities on the ascendant and receives the Moon in her triplicity.

Oh, I do hope you are right, Ficina!

Yes, the charts are different, but is the fact that the matches are different that puzzles me the most...

Oh, the Lord of the Hour is the strongest, Gem. Depending upon how you look at it. The Lord of the Hour is your broker. The Lord of the Day is the back-office. Or to put it another way, the Lord of the Hour will take care of all your errands and needs according to his ability, but the Lord of the Day tells you something about what is in at stock at the store.

In many instances the Lord of the Day just keeps things in place...

Well put, Andrew. That makes sense, thanks.

You mean, 'the charts are the same'?? Even the charts are identical, the teams (odds) are different. Like Man U/Arsenal and Chelsea playing Derby for example.

Wow, this is close! :' :' :'
Sometimes I find myself struggling to see the differences in the charts. While the matches are of an entirely different quality, yes. If ManU were playing Arsenal and Chelsea playing Derby at basically the same time, it would be easy to see who we were talking about if the chart pointed out an underdog. If not, we would be trying to work out the chart according to favourite by odds - or whether ManU or Arsenal should receive the ascendant...

Something like that...
But come.... while my Leo Sun must be feasting in the sudden attention, I really feel that everyone else - including yourself, Ficina, John and UBER have all been delivering some impressive predictions and ideas of late.

Very interesting conversation this week.

I'm not sure that I fully follow the full details of what makes a chart radical, although the question keeps coming round as to how this influences a prediction.

We seem to be saying consider the testimonies then question VoC and a radical chart, as this may temper the result first thought of?

Looking at the Doncaster/Nottm F game

desc applies to POS-favours desc
Hour of the Sun. Sun applies to desc ruler. Favours desc?

Venus applies to Jupiter. Ven in exaltation. Jup has Mut Rec with Mars(desc ruler) by exaltation and term

On top of all this, Moon is VoC, which we consider creates more chance of a draw, as does a non-radical chart?

Enough for Nottm F to be victors, quite possibly!!

Doncaster - Nottm F, 19.45 GMT
Odds: 2,25 3,25 2,95
Asc 21LI44 MC 29LE33 Moon 26SG32 POF/POS 9CN45
Game is played on the Day of Venus, in the Hr of the Sun.
It looks as if everyone who has looked into this game is virtually on the same track and I agree with the conclusions. The chart is not radical, which moves the result away from the favorite by odds, who is Doncaster.

Mars, L7, is conj Fortuna. The match could start late, or the question is whether the Moon has virtue on the 10th, or whether his is taken over by the Sun. Sun, L10, applying Mars L7 is good for Nottm F. I have not gathered any evidence that the Lord or the hour aspecting the significator provides a victory, although it can be summoned as a testimony in that direction.

I agree that Nottm F seem to stand a very good chance indeed!

Well, done Ficina. You put us on the right track with this one!

Scotland 1 - Croatia 1
And I am very please with this draw!! :D

Well done on the Scotland game, Andrew :'

Tranmere v Swindon kicks off at the same time as your Doncaster/Notts Forest game. Interestingly in this chart Mars (L7) is separating from POF/POS. More chance of a draw? Not sure since Tranmere are odds-on faves.
