Grand National Winner

There was a beautifully clear signature for the name of the Grand National winner in the chart for the race at Aintree, 4:15 pm, today.

The start of the race had Ascendant-ruler Mercury on the 8th cusp (Regio), in the last degree of its sign and about to move into Aries. The Sun and Moon are moving towards conjunction in Aries in the 8th house, with the Moon next applying to the square of Mars on the 11th cusp.

8th-house ruler Mars completely dominated the chart as the ruthlessly named ?Comply or Die? came in as the clear favourite.

Interesting reading of the chart, Deb. I picked out Comply or Die yesterday evening (when it wasn't the favourite) but didn't back it because there were no connections between the horse's chart and the race chart :(

I was looking at Saturn closely square Gemini MC, and MC's applying sextile to Mercury. That combination seemed to symbolise the command, "Comply or Die".

Did Deb back the winner? Why didn't she post this before the race!!

I have Venus, rather than Mercury about to enter Aries.

I got 2nd prize on each way odds. Saturn close to asc, conjunct POF and using the sabian symbol for the 5th house cusp!!!!

Hi John

I did back this horse for those reasons. But I only had about 2 mins to look at the chart so I just made a quick decision amongst a few of the favourites before I invested my pound. Its good to see it come in, but I wouldn't recommend anyone to follow my advice!

My husband had the main bet (each-way) and he picked the 2nd and 4th places, for purely non-astrological reasons. I also wondered about the Saturn influence, and I nearly chose Slim Pickings instead, for the same reasons.

Hello Deb,

I had Slim Pickings on a short list of possibilities but discounted it, a gut reaction I suspect.

At least my each way bet covered the loss on the Arsenal-Liverpool game :)

I was on Snowy Morning (3rd) from a few months ago. From its natal chart.
Very good performance.

Looked at 31 horses out of 40, but didnt look at the winner and horse in second.
:P

Ficina, what AC were you using for Comply or Die?
