49 by Gem Thanks for your thoughts. Reg Greece/Sweden, I'm not sure who gets the AC but I agree that it looks better for the AC team. PS I deleted my commnet on antiscia in my previous post as I realised that you'd made a similar one. Quote Tue Jun 10, 2008 12:45 pm
50 by UBER Greece v Sweden Greece is Holder. Castle besiegement is applicable. Placing them on IC. Ruler of 4th aspect ASC. Little advantage of Holder. Jupiter L1 weaker then Mars L4. Last Aspect of Moon with Jupiter - ASC get no help. Goca using chinese staff assigned 2 PLUS to GREECE. Draw or Greece win. Alexey Quote Tue Jun 10, 2008 2:11 pm

Watch out for SN retrograding towards MARS (L1), it is getting closer each day. Maybe still not close enough. Spain to win. Quote Tue Jun 10, 2008 3:00 pm
52 by Andrew Bevan Ficina said re Spain-Russia: Hour ruler Venus. Radical by triplicity using Ptolemy or Dorotheus trip rulers, but not using Lilly's trip rulers. Ficina, I woud grant Spain - Russia radical because Venus is moist and equals with the powers of Scorpio. According to this system, Jupiter agrees with the airsigns (masculine, warm and moist) and the Moon and Venus agree with the element of water (feminine, cold and moist). Note Jupiter is masculine, as are the air signs - while the Moon and Venus are feminine like the triplicity of water. According to the combination of radicality, I allot the control of the game to Mars, lord of the ascendant, since he has to approve of the administration of Venus. Some might ask my opinion on the outfall of the game. I'm not certain. I think the charts sofar are a mix and I am trying to work out what is the best approach. http://www.astronor.com Quote Tue Jun 10, 2008 4:06 pm

54 by Ficina Andrew, You are absolutely right of course re radicality in Spain/Russia chart. Hour ruler is of same nature as Asc sign. I obviously didn't have my brain in gear! Excellent performance by Spain this evening, but Greece were very disappointing Quote Tue Jun 10, 2008 9:11 pm

Andrew, when you say 'Mars has to approve of the administration of Venus', is it because Venus is Detriment in Scorpio? Portugal/Czech this evening doesn't look radical at all under any systems AC 12 Scorpio 9, LOH: Saturn Yes, Spain were excellent and Greece disappointing particulary becuase of the way they played. So, bookies were right about Sweden being the faves. Quote Wed Jun 11, 2008 9:52 am
56 by john The greece/Sweden result makes for an interesting astrological analysis. Looking at antision positions and the Moon, todays games I'll have down as draws. Quote Wed Jun 11, 2008 10:11 am
57 by Ficina I think this evening's games are difficult. As you say, Gem, Portugal/Czech chart isn't radical. Antiscion Mars (L1) conj Desc within half degree in 6th looks good for Portugal but is it enough for them to win? Emplacement seems to be the only factor that's been working fairly consistently so far. I'll go for Portugal. Switzerland/Turkey chart very similar to Italy/Holland - chart radical (hour ruler Mars) and Mercury (L7) in 7th, just over 1 deg from cusp. Although Holland won, they are a much better side than Turkey. Maybe a draw? I'm not really sure. Quote Wed Jun 11, 2008 10:13 am
58 by Gem Ficina wrote:I think this evening's games are difficult Yeah, yet another unclear, muddy charts. Rarely do we get charts with clear, obvious testimonies. With a chart like this, draw is always possible but as Portugul are odds-on, they 'should' be all right. It's at least radical for Switzerland/ Turkey. According to bookies, Switzerland are faves, but I'm not convinced they are. Last edited by Gem on Thu Jun 12, 2008 9:21 am, edited 3 times in total. Quote Wed Jun 11, 2008 2:43 pm
