Hi folks,

This may or may not mean anything, but I have done a number of job queries lately (as you may know ), and in a large number of them there is an emphasis on the 5th house in some way: either my significator is placed there, or the job significator is placed there, or an impediment is placed there, etc. etc.

So how much does emplacement matter in terms of a query like this, where ostensibly the 5th house *should*, in its traditional interpretations, have nothing to do with the question?

In other words, why, do you think, would there be an emphasis on the 5th in a job query?

As far as I know, my children have nothing to do with either my job search, or the outcome of my job hunting; in other words I am not looking for a particular type of job as a consequence of having children (a part-time job, say, or job-share; I'm actually looking for full-time), and certainly having children does not affect whether I am invited to interview for the position or not!

Any ideas?

This is a long shot, but maybe you get a job through your children. Someone they know, a lead from a parent of a friend of theirs, through their professors, something like this. As I said a long shot.

Well, I was wondering whether the job would wind up having *to do* with children; I've applied for a couple of social care-related jobs where I'd work with young persons, as they're called nowadays. But I've only applied for a couple of them, and they're just long shots, really. Most intriguing.

The 5th house also has to do with agents. Maybe you'll get a job through a recruiter or job agency.

I feel Pam hit the mark. Agents. There are lots of different agents. Someone you know acting on your behalf. Someone the prospective boss knows. Maybe its not what you know that gets you the job its WHO you know that does the trick.
