Today I think I'll go with the odds-on underdogs - Holland and France. I think both teams will at least draw the match. What do you people think of todays matches?

The game is played on the Day of Jupiter and in the hour of Mercury. The chart is not radical. The lord of the hour is stationary. I would have to offer the option of the game ending a draw at full time.

If anything, the chart not being radical moved the result away from the favourite. Fair enough from me. Pity I did not phrase myself in that manner, but the arguements of Ficina and UBER were very convincing.

I have experienced this tournement as messy. Mercury stationary in his own sign is not neccesarily weak.

Two + for the ASC team and nothing really for the DSC team. I think ASC is (was) Germany. Kits or whatever but I do not think the faves get the ASC all the time. Maybe faves are ASC most of the time etc. Because in this case we must ask ourselves what are the faves? I sincerely do not think that bookies get to decide which team gets the ASC. I suppose we should look at the characteristics of L1 and L7 their respective signs etc to determine the team - the way Lilly did looking at the querents. One astrology book says Germany is Aries/Capricorn (L1 is in CAP) maybe that was the key.

As for the CRO-TUR match I'm going with the underdogs here. I think TUR will draw/win.

I agree. But could it be that Basel is the determining factor? Basel is pretty close to Germany, so maybe Germany could be virtually considered as the host. If so, being the host gives Germany ASC naturally or makes them the favorite.

The Norwegian television commentator 'did' say that it was virtually a home game for the German team with 80% of the stadium being filled by German supporters.

I gave the Asc to Germany, because I was born there, so it's "my" team.

Immediately I am stumped: Saturn in 1st and ruling 7th. If I shovel
that concern aside, then L7 in L1 would mean that Germany will
overcome Portugal, right?

But POF is in 7th (although in different sign from the cusp) - lucky
Portugal?

L1 sits on C11 - so what else is new??? But Germany has Mars sitting
on the Asc - their secret weapon? (Haha, I couldn't resist)

Oh look, L1 is also conjunct Betelgeuze: that seems lucky - "Superior

And Portugal being old and slow - well.....

According to the bookies, Croatia are odds-on faves.

Jupiter is hour ruler, so chart is radical.
Antiscion Venus (L10) conj Desc from 6th (1 deg).

Looks good for Croatia but retro Pluto conj Asc is a negative. According to JF, they shoot themselves in the foot - but to what extent? They actually lose or simply draw? Will this one negative overturn the two positives? I can see no positive testimonies for Turkey and Mercury (L7) is still very slow.

Late Asc could indicate late result, so I'll go for a draw/Croatia.
