Or maybe I could stretch myself and say the the Premier League is so essential and fundamental in Great Britian that a lunar eclipse on this day is a warning of other unexpected turns in line for the nation. The Labour Party is not doing all that well and then there is that question of Charles and the throne... It?s an interesting thought that the lunar eclipse might affect the whole season. You are right about the Labour party but the ?question of Charles and the throne? has been going on since the day he was born. It?s the last thing anyone here is thinking about at the moment.

Well, at the same time, and being completely ignored in the forum, is the fact that we are holding onto third position in the Olympics, with only two Superpowers ahead of us. It?s the best Olympic performance we?ve put in for over 100 years. I?m sure that people here have to be feeling better about themselves for that. BTW, I?ve also realised that 2012, when we host the Olympics, is also the year of the Queen?s Diamond Jubilee, which will fall about a month before the Olympics start. Everytime the Queen has a jubilee there is a huge upsurge in public mood here. I missed the golden jubilee (I was over in Norway actually) but I?m determined to be here for the Diamond anniversary. In fact the month before that is my 50th b?day, so it will be a big disappointment for me if the world does come to an end the week before then, as some people say it will.

Susie, I've just had a quick look at your rugby chart and what stands out is Jupiter (L4) sitting on the Asc in 12th. According to John Frawley, who as we know gives the Asc to the faves, this is a strong testimony for the underdogs. If we give the Asc to the home team, then this testimony favours NZ. The big question is, who were the faves in this game?

China must be like a second home ground to the British - thinking about all the tea you drink!

The faves are N Z, and for a bit I felt like giving them the Asc because Saturn in the 9th painted a clear picture for doing so, and rightaway I felt conflicted in my choice of sigs

In the end, the South Africans pretty played like one would expect from Moon applying to Neptune and then opposing the Sun - they had no strength, playing too "loosely", and in general not getting a foot on the ground! They are now dubbed the "Bumbleboks" by the press

The score at half time was 5-0 to N Z - that made sense, because neither team were particularly switched on, and the press remarked that N Z really didn't play that well at all either.

Score at the end though 19-0 to N Z - horror of horrors!

I thought the score would be more even, since I couldn't see strong testimony for a clear winner. How wrong was I!

Golly!

Well, I guess it all comes down to which method one chooses for interpreting the chart since your analysis makes perfect sense. From my own point of view though, I see this as a victory for giving the Asc to the home team since past experience has shown that planetary emplacement, i.e. sigs conj angles, is the most reliable indicator of success.

I avoid such situations when there is no clear favorite.

ASC-DSC axis in critical degrees (on border of moon's day).
MC-IC axis in early degrees. (non radical)
Moon and Jupiter in critical degrees.
Critical degrees (I guess especially Moon and ASC-DCS) signify every so often big score for one team and zero for another team.

AntiPOF square Moon (orb 4, close for cricket)! Powerful testimony of favorite losing!

PS. It is not hindsight thing, seariously.

Haven't gone that far yet but I'm beginning to think that looking at the condition of the LOH together with the main sigs may make sense.

Possibly, especially because the eclipse fell on the angles(could it be ominous for the champions??), although it didn't seem to have any effects on the match itself(Arsenal-W Brom).
