3D,

Thank you for that web site, I wish I could have read it! But the wave theory pretty much matches the transits and progressions. Lots of confirmation all over the chart duplicated in many ways and more to come! At least it better to be forewarned and prepared!

Thanks again!

Thank you too, Morning Sun. The second link is an english explanation of the Wave Astrology. The math behind is very complex but basically the resulting wave shows the gravitational interaction patterns of the planets, or iow the planetary cycles, relative to each other and aggregated into a single curve.

I fully agree with you that totally different methods often lead to similar results, in mundane and personal astrology

I'm not sure how you reconcile your first sentence with the last, Andrew.

I'd have thought that how the next president handles the turmoil will have quite an impact on how the economy performs over the next few years, and most investors/speculators will have views on how each candidate will do. I don't see how that level of uncertainty can be priced into the market in advance.
And From MorningSun:
There are NO NON-EVENTS, when it comes to the stock market. Everything affects the stock market immediately!! It is VERY reactive!!
Andrew did make a good point, although I wouldn't go so far as to call the election a non-event. The markets do look ahead and price accordingly. This is one reason why the big guys make the money and the little guys flop. For example, if an investor thinks an Obama win will be bad for health care stocks then he sells them. Likewise, if investors en masse think that the candidate most likely to win the election isn't good for the business community and the markets the investors will sell, bringing prices down. I don't pay much attention to the markets anymore so I don't know to what degree the markets are predicting an Obama victory, but as more polls indicate an Obama win you can bet the markets are already reflecting that victory. Colin Powell's endorsement on Sunday will undoubtedly affect the markets. This is basic knowledge concerning the financial world. The markets have their silliness, but they are also quite logical. However, the astrologers in full confident force now with their gleeful dire predictions and moralizations after major events have already happened, along with those who write like THIS with SO much EMPHASIS (!!) , are clearly the more reactive ones.

Exactly! Many people will be betting on Obama winning, so if he doesn't there's likely to be a significant reaction. But, given how much variation there is between different polls, there are probably still people who don't think it's a foregone conclusion and are therefore holding back - so if he does win, pre-election trends are likely to be reinforced.

You disappoint me, Kirk. I thought you, at least, would know how to enjoy doom and gloom.

Hi Kirk,

Glad you joined this thread! I put the chart out of the NYSE, to get feedback regarding the aspects on Nov. 4, for forecasting and to be of some help to those with pensions that have lost quite a sum lately, as I have and quite a few others I know. There will be a really this week, but I believe that chart I posted shows a steep decline starting Oct30/31 - Nov.7th. Sometime in there. It was my hopes that some could recoup some losses and move their investments into a safer fund for the time being, if there was agreement with the great astrologers on this site.

That was the motivation, not gloom and doom. Better to be prepared than not. Then when Andrew said the election would be a non-event, that I guess was so shocking that I guess I put in caps my surprise at that statement. I think it is really silly that our stock market is extremely reactive to the slightest news info, but it is, that is pretty much a fact.

Much less with the aspects in the chart of the NYSE. There are so many markers of an event for the NYSE, with confirmation of aspects all over the place. Planets in critical degrees, Venus forming a T square with the Saturn / Uranus Opposition, Mars forming a T square with Prog. Uranus /Pluto Opposition with Pluto conj. Neptune at critical degrees. Prog. Mars/Venus exact conjunction in the Progressed Chart, acting as one, and they are the planets stimulating what will happen! Transiting Pluto conjunct Prog. Sun within minutes of exact, all over the chart. Prog. Saturn stimulating the Uranus / Pluto opposition also. The whole chart is very active! Don't you think? If you don't think so please join the fray and say it ain't so!! That would be great! Make a stab at a prediction/forecast. It's always great to get a realistic new perspective, there are a few good aspects in there Trans. Pluto conjunct Prog. Sun, trining the Ascendant! Trans. Jupiter conjunct Prog Merc., trining the Saturn/Uranus Opposition, (Saturn conjunct prog. N. Node and Na Mars.

So have a go at it Kirk! Can't wait to see your take!

Sorry, MS, but grabbing one chart for financial conditions and predicting market movements using progressions and transits isn't at all my cup of tea.

I don't use charts rated DD (Dirty Data). The chart you provided is for 11:30:31 am LMT. AstroDatabank gives a time of 10:10 am LMT. In the ADB notes it's stated that Rob Hand's father, who was into financial astrology, had a chart for 8:33:52 am LMT. ADB gives two other pre-9:00 am times used by two other astrologers. Which chart should we use?

Why should the progressions of and transits to the NYSE chart be all-important? What about the NASDAQ? However, it's not simply a matter of the markets going up or down, but the economic realities (and fears/hopes) they are reflecting. For the most complete picture of stocks and the economy should we ignore Chicago's important commodities market? We should probably keep a Federal Reserve Bank chart in mind along with a chart of the USA (But which one? ....)

And of course we are only looking here at the USA on election day, separating it from worldwide financial markets and concerns. It's easy to make this branch of astrology simpler than it is.

Hello Kirk!,

I used the Chart Data, from Ray Merriman. His forecasts were on spot one year in advance for what is going on now. His forecast for oil were 100% on, dramatic rise and reduction to 50% of the high for sept/oct. And many more, on spot.

So if it is good enough for him, the time to make accurate forecasts that time is good enough for me. However, normally I would agree with you, I also do not use errant DD for charts. Only if the one using the dates comes up with Accurate information and forecasts.

So that deals with the Data portion of your requests. Using transits and progressions, I'll tell you pretty darn accurate from my side of the fence. So many events that I have predicted for clients right on the money. They work. However I can say at times, its a tough call, yet sometimes it shows very plainly the event or an event about to occur. If there are repeated indications in the chart and in this case there are so many indicators of an event.

That was just my interpretation of it, and I put it out there for others to come up with theirs and hopefully somewhere in the middle we may all help each other, as well as a host of other people.

If we are not willing to take a risk and use Astrology for the good of all, and to benefit others, or forewarn, what is the point? There may be quite a few ways to reach a conclusion, I am always learning new insights on this sight and that is the purpose to learn from each other. So I am here to learn and share.

You are right about using other charts and I do. However, when it is very clear and there is repeated confirmation in the chart sometimes I do not. I just haven't had time to put the US chart up as yet to analyze that.

I know using transits and progressions, sounds about as strange as the classical or traditional does to me, using the terminology of ancient greece and medieval Europe, ( which were the dark ages by the way), I do have difficulty with but I do try it out and try to work my way through it especially Old English.

Anyway, your comments are always good to read!

Kirk,

I forgot to add that the NYSE, is the exchange itself, so regarding the NASDAQ and the DJIA, it would include all the indexes coming out of the NYSE, which also trades in commodities, it is the center of Wall Street.

Just wanted to answer that point.

Considering the global transits to come in the 2010s, I am not confident at all of much positive outcomes in world events ~ especially economically. I see a prolonged recession within many nations, with slowdowns and many challenges through to the year 2018, when transits ease up slightly, but then lead towards other geo-political events that I am very concerned about going into the decade of the 2020s.

Many of the mundane charts of several nations, and their exchanges, are stressed by the global transits, particularly Pluto's entry into tropical Capricorn and Saturn's opposition to Uranus, and both planets movements towards the equinox points of Libra and Aries in 2011.

We may see an easing of markets from 2009 to 2011, however, the year 2010 has its dangers. One good sign will be the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in Pisces, which leads to major reforms; however, with Saturn's motion towards Libra, Uranus's towards Aries, and Pluto's motion into Capricorn late next month, we could see more nationalization of banks in western Europe, the U.S., South America, and in Asia. Deflation will be a serious problem with Saturn's direct motion until January, when Saturn will be retrograde.

However, the longer term sees inflation as a real threat in the 2010s. I expect this to be quite significant by 2015, and to continue to about 2018, more or less, with inflationary scares from 2009 and progressing on, and off until the mid-2010s when the danger becomes severe in many nations.

In my view, we are heading towards a depression in many countries, with the contraction of national economies lasting many years. The geo-political climate, as a result of the economic fall-out will be dramatic next year, and will extend into the year 2010, which is a major global transit year. We are seeing signs of the very serious issues of the decade of the 2010s, which will lead to a revolution in many areas, in the public and private sectors, governments, institutions, etc. beginning in 2009 and extending well into the next decade.
