The Excitement of League 1.

Not all of the lower leagues are equally interesting or easy to work with, but League 1. has struck me as quite exciting. Therefore, before applying any astrology, I will take a moment to describe the contest of this division. One of the features is the strength and broadness of teams at the top of the table, but equally the weakness of the teams at the bottom. This is the table as of October 30.
Starting with Scunthorpe who is in lead position. This team fell down a league from the Championship last season. They're really going to make an effort to move up a division again next year and so far they are showing quality. Millwall, I am not certain about. They seem to be having a good season, but they finished last year in the lower half of the table. They may not have the staying power or stamina to see the contest through to the end. Leeds, on the other hand, finished 5th last year - and that was after receiving a 15 point penalty at the beginning of the year. These boys will really want to prove themselves and are looking for advancement to the Championship.

Then I am really interested in MK Dons and Peterborough. These two teams advanced from League 2 and are proving their ambitions of further advancement. However, Hereford, who joined MK Dons and Peterborough in ascended from Leauge 2 are having trouble meeting higher standards and seem ready to drop down again. Stockport is another team that advanced from the 2nd league. They seem to be doing alright and securing their position, but I think they would be pleased at about this level. Leicester and Colchester joined Scunthorpe down from last year's Championship. Leicester are not completely lost, but Colchester are surely having trouble with gathering some new motivation. Crewe were weak last year - and quite frankly I can't see them scraping through another year. These boys will be in League 2 next year, that is for sure... Yeovill and Cheltenham were like Crewe weak last season. They seem to be scraping through, but don't look like performing any miracles for the time being.

Maybe this intro will help us pick some of those winning games when the astrology is there...

There's a League One match and a Championship match with individual kick-off time tomorrow and the Championship match looks particularly interesting.

Wolves have been doing well and Cardiff are faves only becasue they are playing at home. With the chart not radical, and the Moon partile sextile Neptune, I think Wolves have a good chance of winning. I don't set great store by anticia but there's also Moon opp anti-POF.

I keep an eye on the Championship, too. As a Birmingham boy I can see that both Wolves and B'ham stand a chance of advancing next year but I am not convinced that their form will hold. There seems to be several teams in the middle of the table that suddenly could advance. Derby could find new strength and encouragement, then there is Ipswich, QPR, Coventry and Norwich - just to mention some of the teams that have had a slow start....

Birmingham like the Moon in Virgo. I find myself thinking of Holland when it comes to Wolverhampton - probably because so few teams play in orange. Whether Wolves respond to the sign of Cancer (Holland) and maybe Taurus (?) - I would have to make som observations

Very interesting post, Andrew, but you forgot to mention Brighton They made a good start to the season, since when they've gone downhill a bit, but they had a great win against Millwall today

Well done, Gem! I thought the Wolves game was too close to call, but I got Petersbrough and Leeds right. Scunthorpe let me down playing 3-3 against Swindon! I didn't bet the Millwall - Brighton game because I thought it was an uncertain match. Brighton did well!
