My luck has upped and left me.... but who'd have thought that Stoke would beat Arsenal - you can't rely on anyone these days :-?

I'm now relying on Liverpool to wave their magic wand....

In my approach to football prediction I find myself giving the Ascendant to the home team and the Descendant to the guests, almost without exception. However, I might judge the chart in a different fashion - to decide who will succeed, the favourites or the underdogs. To resolve this matter I look to the question of radicality, and secondly those indications provided by the Part of Fortune.

The ideal predictive situation is where the favourite is playing at home and the chart supports the idea of both favourite and home team as winner of the contest. Alternatively, the underdog is the guest and the chart supports the idea of both underdog and away team as prevailing.

When measuring up the chart, in my opinion that judgement is best when the indicators point heavily in one direction; either the home team wins, the away team wins, or the match should end a draw. But there are those instances where the chart denies a result rather than predicts the precise outfall. In my experience, the chart may indicate that the home team may either win or the match may end a draw, but the away team or underdog may not succeed. Or the chart says that the away team or underdog may win or draw, but the home team or favourite will not.

If have been struggling with half rights and still chosing the wrong alternative. The approach could be adjusted. Excluding one result equals a right and may be made useful in football prediction if applied in the correct manner. There is no need to pick all the difficult matches and difficult charts, it is sufficient to be consistant with the easy ones.

Harry worked his magic again!
Bottom of the table Spurs beat top of the table Liverpool!!
This time last week it was still doom and gloom at White Hart Lane!
I'm over the Moon :D

Sunday games

In the Championship:
Derby - Nottingham F., 13.15 GMT
Asc 26CP55 MC 1SG19 Moon 1CP00 POF 6SG25
Odds: 1.70 3.40 4.75
The game is played in the Hour of Venus and the chart is radical by triplicity. Noting the type of radicality and seeing that Mercury, L4, is 26LI37 and square the ascendant, I am going for a draw.

I've decided to go with Bolton this arvie, although once again, L1 is in H7, but that didn't cut muster last time, plus Mars is hugely strong in domicile. Also Lady 7 is in cadent 8 and opposing POF at 16Gem50. I find it interesting that L10 sextiles Mars and squares Venus. I don't know if Moon applying to MC is potent enough.....but if it was, then it would add to testimony for Bolton.

So, go Bolton!

Nothing stands out at all for me in this chart, although Andrew and Susie have made a good case for either side. The chart isn't radical and the weak Moon isn't making any immediate applying aspects, so I've gone for a boring goalless draw.

At any rate one of us will be right :D

Some beautiful charts for Monday's games that go in direction of the favourites.

In the Championship:
Birmingham-Coventry, 19.45 GMT
Odds: 1,55 3,60 6,00
Asc 10CN29 MC 6PI02 Moon 16CP00 POF 14VI42
The game starts on the Day and in the Hour of the Moon. Radical.
The Moon, L1, applies to the body of Jupiter, L10. Home team/favourites win!

In the Premiership:
Newcastle-AstonVilla, 20.00 GMT
Odds: 2,90 3,25 2,35
Asc 16CN31 MC 10PI20 Moon 16CP07 POF 20VI51
The game starts in the hour of Saturn. The Moon, L1, is in the same triplicity and applies to the trine of the lord of the hour. The chart is radical. Notice how the Moon is on an angle and the Sun aspects the MC by trine, which also promotes radicality. The relationship between the lord of the hour and lady of the ascendant is advantageous to either the favourite or for a draw, but seeing that the Moon is sitting on the cusp of the 7th and joined to L10, this should promote the guests. POF is within 2 degrees of L7. It looks good for Villa.

There are small variations in the charts, but the planetary hour does change (from the Moon L1 to Saturn L7) and the distance between the Moon to the cusp of the 7th makes it possible to distinguish who it represents. In the one chart it is the home team, in the other chart - the guests. The Birmingham game seems to have a more certain outfall than the Villa game. I am putting one bet on B'ham at odds 1,55 and one bet on the combination with Villa for the total odds of 3,64! 8)
------------------------------------------------
Addition:
While a draw is acceptable in the game played at Newcastle, it is much more interesting if Villa wins in view of radicality being proven by a 'triplicity relationship' but the lord of the hour havng greater dignities on the cusp of the 7th than in the Ascendant.

Well I'm definitely going with Villa too - the Moon in detriment, conjunct a fallen Jupiter, which in turn afflicts the Asc, can't be a good thing for L1.

And Saturn, the dispositor of the whole lot, is angular in the 4th.

Just wondering about the score - will the Capricorn theme keep the score down?

Good luck.

It seems that angular significators are like buses - you wait for ages, then two come along at the same time! At first sight the Moon and Jupiter conj Desc would appear to favour Villa, but Moon is L1 and hour ruler (acc. SF) which should be a positive for Newcastle.

The dual role of the Moon makes things confusing. As indicator of the flow of the action, it aspects both Jupiter (L10) and Saturn (L7) and I think this linkage sways things in Villa's direction. Jupiter tucked just inside 7th definitely favours Villa. Saturn conj POF isn't partile but given that it's a conjunction and also that it's not a sole testimony, I'll give it some leeway. Sounds like Villa for me too then.
will the Capricorn theme keep the score down?
Possibly, although Moon conj angular Jupiter might indicate a few goals. Given the Moon's aspects, I believe both teams will score. 3 planets cross angles during the course of the game so 2-1 might be a safe bet, but given my luck with score predictions, I wouldn't bank on it!
