158 by ciuboda I was looking more closely to the today games charts and observed that retrograde Vesta was forming close aspects of quincunx (150) with both Sun and Moon - basically an Yod configuration. Also on Chelsea chart Vesta is on exact position over natal Jupiter. On Liverpool chart Vesta is 2 degree away from natal Venus. On M.United is very close to Mercury and Mars. I dont think that in one weekend Arsenal, Chelsea, M.United and Liverpool not able to score one goal. Also today is 1 year since the last game for M.United without scoring a goal (comments on TV). 160 by Andrew Bevan Matt, I fear you calculations for Sunderland - WestHam may be wrong. I have Asc 7GE42 MC 29CP29 Moon 16LI38 POF 22CN48 The Moon is not applying to the sextile of Jupiter, etc. I have struggled with the occasional calculation myself, so would you mind just checking over the figures and make sure they are right. http://www.astronor.com Quote Sat Nov 22, 2008 11:06 pm

Hi Andrew I have: Houses - Placidus ASC 07 Gem 40 L1 Mercury 00 Sag 35 (Antiscia 29 Cap 24) Jupiter 20 Cap 43 (Antiscia 09 Sag 16) Moon 16 Lib 38 POF 22 Ari 34 (Antiscia 07 Vir 25) MC 29 Cap 25 Our PoFs are different - I have Solar Fire set to 'Fixed Formula' rather than 'Day/Night' for PoF and since this is technically a night chart (Sun is below western horizon) maybe that explains that difference. The moons last aspect is to bodily oppose Fortuna in my chart (its actually short by 56 minutes). Regarding the Moon-Jupiter aspect - my mistake in making my scribbled notes. I Meant to write that Moon applies to SQUARE Jupiter not sextile it but I scribbled the symbol for sextile instead of square by mistake. My apologies. Quote Sun Nov 23, 2008 9:25 am

First time ever in the Premiership apparently, so I don't think we should be too concerned about not doing well yesterday. Even the pundits and tipsters did badly. We seem to have agreed from the work we did during the Spring that the Part of Fortune calculated according to the same Formula by both Day and Night appears to have greatest significance in Football predictions. Or, the same importance can be given to the Part of Spirit, POS, in a Nocturnal chart where the method of calculation is reversed. However, this is exactly the same part as POF in the first computation, it is just giving it a different name. http://www.astronor.com Quote Sun Nov 23, 2008 11:01 am

Its interesting to me that the PoF plays such a significant role in sports prediction methods when its role in other areas of astrology , for example in a natal chart is that of 'treasure' or 'spiritual treasure' . I suppose for those involved in the games the winning is their reward or treasure for the work they do, but there is also an aspect of spirituality about gaining accolades in life. I have looked at todays games again and although I'm not 100% convinced about either I think I will back Spurs to win. That Saturn sat inside the 7th cusp for Blackburn looks a bit grim, as its not Lord of any significant houses, and the Moons aspect finalises it for me. The Sunderland v West Ham I will leave as a tentative prediction for West Ham but without a bet - its unclear to me which of the various testimonies carries most weight. Could be an interesting match. regards, Matt Quote Sun Nov 23, 2008 12:29 pm
167 by Ficina Its interesting to me that the PoF plays such a significant role in sports prediction methods Yes, it is interesting and I was thinking about this earlier today. It's as if the POF encapsulates the moment since it combines the Asc, Moon and Sun. its unclear to me which of the various testimonies carries most weight. Weighing up the testimonies is difficult. Even though some of us have probably got hundreds of previous game charts to refer to, it's very rare to find the same combinations of types of testimonies repeating themselves. It's also interesting/annoying that certain testimonies perform very well during one season but not the next! Quote Sun Nov 23, 2008 1:13 pm
168 by Andrew Bevan Ficina, on a Friday it can seem as if everything is working and then on Saturday everything is wrong. Do different rules apply to different days? I'm stretching this a bit, but years ago Olivia and I noticed that while timing most often was shown by directing the Moon and planets by one degree per time unit (ie. day, weeks, hours), on occasions when the chart was heavily influenced by Mercury it proved more correct to refer to the ephemeris as to decide when aspects and matters would be perfected. I showed how all these inconjunct aspects were in effect in yesterdays charts. In my exerience the inconjunct aspect has bee none of those conditions that made way for the 'outsider'. The public are sent astray as they do not see 'eye to eye' with the situation. http://www.astronor.com Quote Sun Nov 23, 2008 2:50 pm
