Will my Ipod work again ?

Hi, my ipod stop work without motive this morning.

Last night I was using it and it was fine. I already did everything possible (it is no much, as Ipod has only one button), and I think there is not much to do.

It is obviously a loss, as it was a gift, and I don?t have the money to buy another one out of the blue.

28 nov 08, 3h05 pm, Bogota, colombia, south america. 74w05, 4n36, EST, ASC 28 aries, moon 19Sag.

So, the late ASC is already throwing away my hopes. I don?t think it will suddenly start working again, the same way it stop working.

I am mars and ipod is venus. They will only have contact by antiscia. But before they connect, venus (and moon) will contact cadent malefic saturn. It doesn?t feel good.

The contact with saturn in 6th tell me that the ipod is really broken and I will have to take it to the repair shop. But ipods are not easily repaired so I don?t know what to expect.

There is also a late degree on the 2nd cusp, yuzuru, so maybe the Ipod has lost its hope, too...BUT, Fortuna is in the 1st house, disposited by Venus, so I think the Ipod is 'fixable'.

Did you try holding the middle button down at the same time as the bottom of the wheel until an apple shows up? I use my index and middle finger to accomplish this. It always fixes my ipod. You may also try their web site they have ideas there to fix ipods.

To me Saturn in Virgo in 6th just means you need to work at getting it fixed again. Going to apple's web site and figuring out what to do is a chore. But if you have Apple's ipod they are tough! I've dropped mine in water several times and it's running great. I had one made by Hewitt Packard and was always sending it back for a new one.

This is a very interesting question though, I must agree, asking for a mech. help does seem like the best solution!

i don't even know what we should look for here but, your Ipod is Venus and it's not in a bad shape. It does conjuct the 12th house ruler but it is also a 9th house ruler (i guess it should have something to do with it being a foreign product but I've never been looking for an ipod in a chart before

so, i'm not sure what else 9th could signify). It's also on the 10th cusp, I don't know how promissing that is in this case but I believe it can't be that bad.I'm not going to dismiss outer planets because it is a modern age product and there is Neptune on the 11th house cusp. 11th (Aquarius symbolics) also in Aquarius (doble new age sign) might be saying you're wrong. That Venus forms sextiles and trines to both Saturn and Uranus (mechanic) so, I believe it is "curable".

Your ruler, on the other hand is under Sun beams so- you might be fearing more than you should.

So, the Ipod is ruled by Venus (music, quite descriptive) and went into the 9th and is conjuct the ruler of the 9th (foreign) in Capricorn (old, tradition)- tell us, what kind of music do you listen most of the time?

(Oh, come on now, enough with Ipods, let us have a real love question!

)

Hi:
I don't have one of those gadgets and don't really know how they work but try deleting some of the stored info if that's something you can do. It looks like it was overloaded. Jupiter's leaving a trine to saturn while Venus, your ipod is conjoining Jupiter. And the 2nd cusp is at a high degree. So maybe its overloaded. Can you empty some and refresh or something? Again, I know squat about those gadgets.

GH, I don?t know if the late degree in the second house has a signification of its own, as it is almost impossible not to have it, in my latitude, when you have a late ASC degree. But I will keep an eye on it.

Kali: yes I tried. After seeing your message I tried again. The screen goes bright, but I think the selection button is not working for some reason, weird. thanks for the tip. I didn?t get as far as to drop mine in water but he hit the floor more than one time and untill now it was unbreakable... when it decided to break, it was with no reason at all

Aglaya: what kind of music ? you can go on into yuzuru.vodpod.com, but I think you will see an awful number of 80?s music overthere

Looking for the transits, the north node, and the sun-mars-mercury conjunction are transiting my poor natal mercury-venus. Venus rules my second natal house. So a bad day to be my gadget.

Yuzuru, would it seem too far afield for me to suggest that perhaps Mercury is important in this chart? It strikes me that he rules the third house of ordinary communication; and while Venus rules your possessions, Mercury might be considered a cosignificator of electronic devices, per se. He is in detriment in the eighth house of the chart, unaspected, emerging from combustion and about to join Mars: yourself. Maybe some of his circuits were fried (combust in a fire sign) and he is mute (unaspected) and seemingly dead (eighth house), requiring repairs (surgery of a sort - eighth house, again), but will ultimately return to you in the form of a working iPod, even if not in exactly perfect order (Mercury in detriment). I certainly hope so!

I'm still surprised whenever I see how simple (almost trivial) things can be in Astrology. The moment I saw the shape and placement of that Venus (ruling a musical device) I thought there must be something "retro" about this story.

I don't usually pay a lot of attention to such things because, most of them aren't really important and one can easily overdo and start turning Astrology, as GF would suggest, into party tricks and amusement. But I like to check from time to time, how much some placement can actually tell. (I know of an astrologer who always tells his clients what type of car they're future spouses will drive. I think he uses the sign on the 3rd cusp to determine the country the car is made in.

He also never skips to say things like "Your future husband will live in a tall building, I think on 11th floor! Now, how he manages to count floors is a mystery to me!

I'm still surprised whenever I see how simple (almost trivial) things can be in Astrology.

I call this the "don?t try this in home" of astrology". To try to tell what floor your future husband lives would classify as these non-safe tricks :-)

Astraea: I am not sure if an Ipod would be an communication device, like an iphone, for example. But I agree that electronical devices are very mercurial in nature.

Trish, I will look at the 8th house from the 2nd to see if the Ipod will die :-)

Preliminar news:
today the ipod start working again... nothing to cheer yet. It is working only a few seconds a time.
I don?t know why electronics hate me if I love them so much !

thanks for your comments, my feedback:

for some strange reason, as I said, the ipod had stopped working. Out of blue, it start working again. Last saturday it started to respond, but only for a few seconds a time. Then it went "dead" again.

In some moment between saturday and monday (I was kinda of afraid to touch it very much), it began to work again, tottaly out of the blue. I waited a few days to see what it would do, but untill now it is working as if nothing had ever happened.
