Has he received my message? 1 by Aphrodite Hello forum members I would like to ask your opinion on a horary chart that has been troubling me for weeks now, maybe because I was the one asking the question. A little background: I sent a text message to a young man back in my home country. I am romantically interested in him and last time we met he made it clear that the interest was mutual. I had cast another chart back then, and there was mutual reception by sign. Anyway, I won't bore you with the details of the complicated circumstances, suffice it to say we both tried our best to hide our feelings, apparently without success. A few weeks after I returned from my holidays I sent his an sms, hoping he would reply promptly but he did not. The next day, really disappointed, I asked the question " Has he received the message? Will he reply and when?" Location San Francisco, CA Date: November 19 2008 Time 10:50 am Asc 19Cap54, Regiomontanus house system. Planetary hour ruler: Mars I am represented by Saturn and also Jupiter sitting right on the ascendant. Seventh house ruler is Moon. My ruler is in the 8th house, with a minor essential dignity by terms. I think it describes my situation, as is Jupiter in a bad state in capricorn, albeit angular. His significator in Leo, on the cusp of the 8th house peregrine, bad condition too. Moon's most recent separating aspect is a square with Mercury, and now applies to square Sun. So my first question is should I use the ruler of the 3rd house to signify my message? If so, it is Mars on the casp of the 11th house. What could that mean? What is it doing there? Moon (him) applies to Mars after changing signs, however she will square Sun first. Will someone/something inhibit him from reading the message? If I use my primary significator only, being in the 8th house could mean that I am "in his possession", has got the message? In that case he doesn't seem interested in the message or me. Looking at receptions, there is mutual reception by house and triplicity between Sun and Mars, and that confuses me also. Any ideas on how to make sense of this chart would be greatly appreciated. Obviously, I still haven't heard from him, but I would like to know if there is a technical/trivial reason for this silence or if it is his choice in which case I should stop any more embarassing attempts from my part. 2 by dlynne I am an amateur, and just learning. So, I will look forward to a critique from the professionals and more experienced. Mercury, ruler of your friend's 11th (friends) and 12th (secrets) houses, is applying in combust with the Sun. The Sun is a co-signifcator of a man in a relationship question. There may be more going on his life than you are aware of at the moment. I also note that Venus, a secondary significator for you, is in the your 12th house, the ruler of hidden things. This may explain why Jupiter, ruler of your friends, hopes and dreams (as well as your secret things) is in its fall on the ascendant. The Moon makes no aspect to Saturn, found in the 8th house. John Frawley states in one of his books that when the significator is found in the 8th house in a relationship question, the quesitor seeks the esteem of the quesited. Mercury, the natural ruler of communication, was recently squared by the Moon. The Moon then goes on to square the Sun and finally Mars, ruler of the 3rd house of communications. The text message (Mars) is ruled by Jupiter, representing your hopes, and offer of friendship. Interesting that it also represents your 12 house of secrets, where your co-signifcator Venus is found. My best guess is that your friend did receive the test message, and that you will hear from him at some point. However, the response may not be exactly as you hope. Caveat: I am fairly new to this, so do not take my analysis as the final word on anything! Dlynne Quote Sun Jan 04, 2009 5:43 pm
3 by Aphrodite Dlynne thank you for your interpretation and for inserting the chart! I noticed you use Koch house system, but in this particular case the house cusps are very similar to Regiomontanus. You are right that there are things going on in his life, 11th and 12th house related. I did not mention them in my previous post, because I don?t think they are relevant to my question. Certainly there is a lot more that I don?t know. It is also very likely he has read the message; statistically most of the messages reach the people they are sent to. My confusion rises from the lack of separating aspects between the Moon (him) and any of my significators or Mars (the message). Maybe the aspects to Mercury show that he has read it, if we accept that is this chart Mercury represents primarily communication, although it could be showing our last meeting (rules radical 5th). On a side note, I was told just yesterday that he was talking about me a few days ago, saying he is fond of and thinks highly of me. Anyway, I will let you know what happens. Any more comments are very welcome. Quote Tue Jan 06, 2009 2:48 am
4 by Carol Hi Aphrodite, I too am relatively new at this, so I may be WAY off, but I get the feeling this guy may have some money concerns first and foremost on his mind right now. Peregrine Moon is not only entering his 2nd house (Gates of Hades), it's about to square peregrine Sun, ruler of both him and his 2nd. Also, peregrine Mercury, ruler of his hopes and wishes, is being burned up by the combust peregrine Sun. On perhaps a brighter side, the ruler of his fun and romance, Jupiter, is right on your Asc and his 7th, and even though it's in its fall in Cap., it may be because money concerns are prohibiting its expansion in that area (ruler Sat. intercepted in his 2nd). 5 by Aphrodite Carol many thanks for your contribution, your interpretation makes a lot of sense. Hopefully I will soon find out what is really going on. Quote Mon Jan 12, 2009 9:56 pm
