Will the Lawsuit Settle -- With Answer and VOC Moon

I asked this question at 8:56 am this morning, on behalf of a client, after negotiations until late last night to settle a lawsuit did not bring about a resolution. Negotiations started up again early this morning. The lawsuit did settle on principal (although the papers are not drafted or signed), at about 11:30 am this morning.

My client, a defendant in the lawsuit, is represented by the ascendant and its ruler Saturn. The plaintiff in the lawsuit is represented by the 7th house and the Sun. There is a co-defendant represented by different counsel...I'm not sure which planet represents the co-defendant. It took the agreement of all 3 parties to settle the lawsuit, including a separate agreement between the 2 defendants.

I post the chart mainly because of the VOC moon, but which is minutes from conjuncting the 4th house, the end of the matter. When I first saw the chart, I understood that the end of the matter could be the end of the lawsuit, or the end of the negotiations. However, the moon is in its exaltation, and an applying trine between the Sun and Saturn (the 2 significators) indicates that the parties want to reach an agreement (which they did). Therefore, I was hopeful that the negotiations would be fruitful, and the lawsuit would settle.

As stated, the lawsuit settled about 2 1/2 hours after the questions was asked.

The Moon is by no means void of course in this chart,since it is applying to Jupiter and Mercury by trine, to Venus by square aspect, all of them being within the moiety of their respective orbs with the Moon.
Of course, the most important is imminent application by trine to Jupiter, a greater benefic, which contributed to the good outcome of the situation. :)

I'd like to better understand this chart. Solar Fire gives the considerations:
Moon is VOC,
Saturn is in 7th
Moon is fast.

The trine to Jupiter is a disassociated trine - is this important? As is the trine to Mercury. Both Mercury and Jupiter are posited in the 12th House of secrets.

I understand the orb of moiety but does the Sign change and 12th Houses placements make a difference here?

If Saturn is in the 7th House it is considered unwise to judge the chart as the answer will not please the Querent and the reputation of the Astrologer is at stake here?

Hi Julie :)

First, Saturn is definitely to be accounted to the 8th house(I always take the 5 degree rule into consideration).
As far as I know, the reputation of astrologer is especially endangered when a debilitated malefic is posited in the 10th, if in the seventh he is likely to misjudge the chart, if in the first, the querent himself will receive some damage originating in the topic of the question itself, etc.
The bottom line is,a debilitated malefic on an angle of the chart is NEVER good, regardless of the kind of chart we are dealing with, since it always indicates some kind of hardship and trouble for the querent.
About the VOC Moon, I warmly recommend that you read Deb's article about it, published on this site - it is outstanding :' because nearly all of the important astrologers of the past are mentioned there regarding this important topic. Much will be clearer to you then, I am sure.

Hi dlynne,

I think your question to be very interesting, because of the question 'VOC-Moon - yes or no?' and the fact that we know the answer to your question already.

But first: Why do you let your client be represented by the ascendant? Is it because of the Frawley-We-Test, 'Me and my client', 'We in the same boat'?

Or wouldn't it - because of your relationship as his consulting astrologer - be more Lilly-like or more classical, to give the VIIth house to your client?
Or did I misunderstand your question, and it was your client asking?

Johanan: When I said my client, I meant he is my legal client. I am the lawyer, and was in the middle of intense negotiations on behalf of the client. Since I identify so strongly with my client, it is natural that I gave the ascendant to "us." The 7th house belongs to "them."

VoC Moon, you know it bugs me that modern astrologers drop off the part of the definition that says "makes no more aspects to other planets" basically its dropped only to make the math and the programming simpler. My Opinions, others mileage may vary...

You are so right, ancientstars, but:

Saturn just (less than 5 degrees) before the eighth cusp is counted not any longer to be in the seventh.
But much more important: dlynne stated already,

And this brings us to the as important as interesting question of the VOC-Moon and the quote of cor scorpii:

Lawsuit settling?

I would have read this chart as a yes to the lawsuit settling due to the approaching trine between the two significators: the sun in 17 Capricorn and Saturn in Virgo. However, since the Moon is conjunct the Pleidaes, I would also say the settlement might not be as favorable to the client as he or she might have hoped. In fact, the settlement might be downright disappointing.

What happened with that by the way?
