Lilly says on pg 157 of CA that the judgement of a ship, its safety of ruin, is derived from the ascendant and its lord. The sign ascending and the Moon are the significators of the ship, the lord of the ascandant is for those who sail in her. The Moon, L1, is VOC and separates from the body of retrograde Saturn. Saturn conjunct the IC would be some affliction and matter of gravity. The Moon VOC and departing from Saturn may be an issue of escape.

Mercury, the dispositor of the Moon, is in the 8th house in the air sign Aquarius, retrograde and conjunct the degree of the solar eclipse of January 26. at 6AQ30. This is a crucial testimony. No passangers lost their lives or were drowned in this accident. They were lucky, but there is no question regarding the skill and heroism of the Captain and pilot of the craft.
