Will I travel to Ireland? 1 by astrolabe999 Hi all, I was looking forward to posting here and learning more about horary. I have edited this post.My question : will I travel to Ireland? Mind you, this is a question about traveling, not relocation. Feb 5 2009 17:20 Gig Harbor, WA. USA 122w35, 47n20 I am the Sun at the cusp of the 8th. Ruler of foreign travel is Mars in Aq in the 6th. Sun is past Mars, not applying. The moon is VOC (Lilly's VOC). Saturn RX is in Virgo in the 2nd(money). It doesnt look good, but I was wondering about the role pf the moon, maybe in another sign involved in a TOL between the sun and mars? What about the POF in the 9th? Thank you ahead of time for any comments. I much appreciate it! astrolabe999 Quote Tue Feb 10, 2009 8:24 pm
by Tanit I can't find Big Harbor in my database. What's a nearby town? You might want to post the chart to get more responses. A VOC Moon doesn't usually amount to anything, in my experience. Quote Wed Feb 11, 2009 3:27 am
by Morpheus Can you post your chart? or details like Your preferred house system Ascendant degree and minutes Mc degree and minutes. Actually i dont use any software except www.astro.com. So, it would be much easier for me to see. few things: There is a system described by Mashallah (see "On reception" translated by Robert Hand) which deals with choice of significators between Moon and L1 and dealing with Void of Course significators. One other thing i dont know exactly (you have the details). Were Moon and Sun in applying Trine? Regards Morpheus https://horusastropalmist.wordpress.com/ Quote Wed Feb 11, 2009 3:48 am
by Tara I get 18 Leo rising, Sun in 7th conjunct DC and the moon not VOC (Lilly def.) as it applies to square of Venus in 4 degrees. Don't see any obvious mechanisms whereby you'd be getting your wish to travel to Ireland. The Moon is in the house of hopes but no aspect to L1 or L9, only the square without reception to Venus in 9. Tara P.S. Tanit333, try Gig Harbor. It's in the Winstar atlas. Quote Wed Feb 11, 2009 4:36 am
by astrolabe999 Hi all, Actually, its Gig Harbor, WA. ( not Big Harbor LOL.) I have already posted the details of the chart with longitude and latitude. I thought that Saturn RX in Virgo in the 2nd might dash any hopes. Thank you all for the replies. Quote Wed Feb 11, 2009 7:41 am
by Tanit Not only is the Moon VOC, but so is your main sig the Sun (and is in its detriment). Neither aspect the planet that represents Ireland (Mars), which says "no" to your question. Saturn in the 2nd probably does mean financial problems that get in the way. Sorry. Maybe later than you hope. I wouldn't give up on the idea of the trip though. And it's just an astrology chart, afterall. Quote Thu Feb 12, 2009 5:01 am
by astrolabe999 Tanit, Thank you for the reply. No I havent given up on the idea. But finances are a problem right now, so this chart certainly makes sense. Quote Thu Feb 12, 2009 5:14 am
by astrolabe999 Hi Tara, The answer is that I haven't. Nothing has really changed financially since then. I suppose I could ask another question again if it looks more feasible later. Quote Sat Sep 18, 2010 9:13 pm
