Today is Easter Sunday. I am posting a picture of Lilly's Tomb that some of you may be familiar with. This one was given to me in the mid 80's by Olivia Barclay. I've scanned it, which isn't quite the same as holding the original, and then changed and varied the light and contrast to give a better picture of the image. Olivia was particularly fascinated with this picture. She never claimed anything, but she thought that when the picture was turned upside down the ray of light on the tombstone showed a resemblance of Lilly standing on the right with his one knee crossed over the other. I know I asked Olivia who she thought the woman was standing on the left but I don't recall receiving an answer.

I do believe these images capture our imagination and I am posting them as either a curiosity or trick of light. Please enjoy!

If I am not mistaken, St. Mary's Parish Church, Walton-on-Thames in the North-West of Surrey. The tombstone was paid for by Lilly's close friend, Elias Ashmole.
