I wanted to ask a fairly basic question.

But it is slightly more complex than it seems.

It is about the effect of essential dignity in planets in accidental debility and for the reverse.

In my study, I notice some staggering effects of detriment planets with numerous accidental fortunes, but almost always a most malicious outcome and downfall for the said planet.

On the other hand there are the planets in accidental debility with essential dignity. Most people simply take this essential dignity, primarily domicile and exaltation, and presume that the houses and planets are most fortunate.

I work with Lilly?s point scoring system. But I am trying still to iron out some little things that he leaves undone. Lilly is essentially contradictory, with the south node at any rate.



The more interesting answer is probably related to the factual outcomes, measurable countable things as well as the psychological state of the question.

Lilly states in both possibilities that I have highlighted:

"They show an unequal fortune, subject to ever variable mutation, so that the native may in many parts of his life be extreme happy and live splendidly, and at other times most miserable."


To me this is the best explanation, that the fortunes are subject to great changes. Lilly doesn?t make any particular differentiation between the two; essential or accidental. Not in this part: chapter CXIII; of the general fortune or misery of the native.
