13 by aglaya I had to come back to add this! ))) Could it be, that, since the reception between the prohibitor (the Mercury) and the Querent's ruler is mutual and strong that the prohibitor is a detraction (in a positive way) rather than an obstacle.?! Something that points the Querent into a different direction and away from this job oportunity and hopefully towards another one. Because, it does stop the L1 from forming the aspect with the L10 immediately (this job) but, when the L1 and Mercury do complete the aspect (and prevent the Querent from getting this job), the L1 will already start applying to the Jupiter (L10), they'll be within the orb and will, after that, form a conjuction with no obstacles. What I like even better is that after that it will head towards the Sun (L2) and complete that aspect before leaving the sign as well. And a beneficial aspectIt almost looks chronological (and trivial in a way! ). If the Mercury were the interview, maybe something new will pop out during the conversation or it's a completely new "detraction"! Or, since it's a stressful aspect, maybe it ia rejection only for the better of the Querent. Anyway, just a thought since zthe aspects the Moon will form or start forming before leaving the sign are usually taken as important for the development of the situation inquired! 14 by mscool Oh, what a thick head I have been. I just remembered, it is an interview and she mentioned there will be a written test within the interview. Mercury could be the test - writing points straight to it. And the Saturn in Merc sign means the interviewer gives more weight to the test? A square might mean I may not write too well there? johannes, yes this is a confirmed interview but then they informed well ahead of time - it is in a week from now. So everything points out to the written test. I will prepare really well, may well start scribbling few sample answers right from now I am not happy with the kind of job and company but I got this opportunity after lot of trials - so want to do best to land an offer. Something is better than nothing. How would you interpret the planets in the 10H? Don't you think they are telling us some thing? Quote Sun Apr 19, 2009 1:40 pm

So you can say that both are ruled by two planets each. The fifth by Venus and Mars, the eleventh by Mars and Venus. A very strong testimony that your delight (house 5) in the job and the money of the job (house 11 as the second of the tenth) could come into a certain balance (Mars conjoins Venus in the end). Uranus is form the classical point of view inexistent; - from a 'modern' classical point of view it is a little too distant of the MC, to damage something really. Above all Mars is separating. But in any case it shows your stress in this matter. Possibly the job in question is a job in new technologies in the broadest sense? Quote Sun Apr 19, 2009 3:30 pm

AS long as there is a test, you know it is important and probably crucial (not that "nepotism" isnt'a a magical word sometimes )))) ). The only thing you can do is to go there well prepared- if it's not this job, you never know how many new opportunities a lost chance can bring about! Start spreading your knowledge and charm around! A square might mean I may not write too well there? Perhaps! Still- you can't go unprepared, can you?! How would you interpret the planets in the 10H? Don't you think they are telling us some thing? You (L1) want the job (L10)- what happens between your significators will tell whether it is a yes or a no. If they are not applying to each other and aren't brought together by a third planet, there's no perfection i.e. the answer is "NO"!. But the shape of your ruler, the Ascendant, the cusp of the house it is currently in as well as the shape of the Quesited's ruler will give you a better insight into the situation and an overall picture concerning this field of your life. So, use the 10th house to get the description of the job and, ultimately, the description of the general tendencies on that field in the (near) future. Given that the Moon will eventually meet the L10, it might be useful to examine that house a bit more. It's obviously in a double-bodied sign, the planets inside it, as well as its ruler and the ruler of your incomes are on a very late degree which could be suggesting a change, and its ruler went into the 9th (travels, foreign countries....), the Mars and Venus are in it (in Pisces), coming from the 11th and 5th...you never told us what kind of job you have actually applied for. 17 by mscool Sounds interesting to see if this is showing same job I have applied for. This one is marketing more to do with communication and writing and company is related to languages (all point to Mercury I guess). The place is near to where I stay but the job is entry level. not sure what 9H might mean but 8H and Aquarius - I do come from a research background (8H and 10H in Pisces?) in technology industry (Aquarius and Uranus?). Does that fit into the chart? Quote Mon Apr 20, 2009 8:51 pm

Does that fit into the chart? Oh, the Mercury is what I've been "struggling" with for the past few years when it comes to professions and the 10th house- apparently, only 5% of all modern jobs have got (almost) nothing to do with the description of that planet. Almost all professions are Mercurian nowadays I can't help but wondering whether we're missing something there ) but, I guess I'll just have to open a different topic for that. Besides- Mercury is not the significator in this question or placed in one of the relevant houses and, though it certainly does have a strong impact onto this situation given that it is a prohibitor and that it's aspecting both significators I believe it is only revealing another layer of the story rather than describing your job. Finally, interviews and tests are Mercurian activities and it's a bit hard to get just about any job nowadays without proving you own Mercurian qualities but that pretty much goes along with my previous lines about the modern jobs. As for the 8th and the 10th cusps- besides the fact that you're in debts and that your concentrated on how to pay off/back your loans, I believe that the cusp in Aquarius is a strong signficator of the instability on that field at the moment and that your significator being placed there is a strong sign that you're mainly interested in what to do about the other people's money (loans) at the moment- probably it was the trigger for this job hunt. Just my view, of course. But, the cusp of the 10th and its ruler also in mutable signs (Pisces and Aquarius) is yet another sign of instability! But your L10 is at the 9th cusp- what does writing and languages mean?Publishing? that would fit the description of the 9th and the Picses are literature/poetry/writers. Because, I can't help but noticing that the 10th cusp is in a mute sign. The Mars / Venus conjunction in that house is just another interesting component that should be very descriptive. 20 by mscool What you said is right, 8H is definitely my loans and 10H is this job I am desperate about to pay off those. Irrespective of what type of job it is, I am praying I should be getting it. And of course you are right, Mercury and Aquarius also quite common in professions these days - almost all the jobs need communication and internet. This one is also internet marketing sort of job - so it fits into the chart. One golden rule in Horary is just look at most pressing Q on mind rather than trying to look for what all the chart is showing. It is impossible to clear mind of every thing else when you are rising the chart - it is bound to show few other things if we notice. I suspect half the placements are pointing to other personal issues - every thing is interlinked after all Spring Quote Tue Apr 21, 2009 5:33 pm
21 by aglaya Yap, you need to be very Mercurian to get the job today (though I've lost mine even with mercury on my side ). The workers are expected to own Mercurian qualities regardless of the kind of job they're applying to ( communication skills option in standard CV forms ), driving licence, personal car , foreign languages, MS office and internet...and then the: job interviews, tests, filling in the application forms...the questions such as: "Can you sell my products?" "Can you convince people to buy my products/ideas?" "How do you think you could help this firm to make more money?" "Can you convince me that you're the best choice in 10 sentances?".... All Mercury!!! Quote Tue Apr 21, 2009 5:59 pm

23 by mscool The job scene is really unsettling, hope at least the strong Mercury on my natal AC help me to get this one. thanks so much, agalya and others who chipped in. First one I will update on the outcome will be all of you - I will post here in this forum. Quote Tue Apr 21, 2009 6:52 pm
