It will be interesting to compare Norwich/Reading game in the Championship which kicks off 15 mins earlier with a virtually identical chart. There is a really huge gap between these two sides with Norwich fighting relegation and Reading aiming for automatic promotion, yet there's no clear fave according to the bookies. We'll see what Mars can do for Norwich.

This is probably a silly idea and I should probably give the matter more thought - but I don't mind sharing the occasional brain-storming process: You know how some practitioners say that a horary chart can be used to answer mulitple questions, i.e. the ascendant shows the first question, take the 2nd house for the 2nd question and so on.. well, the sudden thought occured that this could apply to various football divisions.

The idea doesn't make much sense, of course, but then the 1st house would be for the Premiership, the 2nd house for the Championship, the 3rd house for League 1, and so on..

In view of the result and the fact that Chiron, who cast his antiscia to the ascendant and does represent the 'hand of fate' and doors, will Newcastle go down a division and will Raading advance to the Premiership, and will Norwich loose it and fall to League 1. These are interesting questions that I think we should keep an eye on.

Ficini, from what you said I assume your conclusion for the draw was the Moon applying by square to the lord of the 4th and who was Saturn?

If we look on last night games there were a lot of 0-0 scores

Newcastle U. 0 - 0 Portsmouth
Parma 0 - 0 Salernitana
Osnabruck 0 - 0 Hansa Rostock
Strasbourg 0 - 0 Metz

and more draws.

In my opinion this is due to Saturn in 10th house (calming down) squaring Moon in 8th ( increase the need to secure the score and not to force) for all these games.

Also from my statistics Midheaven in Leo and Virgo has a greater chance for draws ( +3% above agerage).

Interesting observations, Dan. I got the score right last night based on Moon square Saturn. I didn't mention this beforehand because last time I suggested on the forum that this aspect might limit the goals, Chelsea disobliged me by beating whoever-it-was 5-0!

It seems to be an aspect which produces extreme scorelines. There was one Saturday last October when 3 out of the 5 Premiership games ended 0-0 which is quite remarkable. However, the other 2 games ended 3-2 and 3-1.

No, I didn't draw(!) any conclusions from Moon being square L4 because I've found it to be an unreliable testimony. I just mentioned it in passing. My draw prediction was based on what I said - L1 Mars was essentially strong enough to save Newcastle from losing. The natals also supported this. Transiting Sun conjunct Newcastle's NN; Portsmouth's Mercury conjunct match chart Desc. One testimony for each side.

From my 6000 games database (all Premier League) 8,69% were ended on 0-0 score and 26,98% were a draw.

I think that always there is a combination of factors and not only one aspect. But here is the magic thing...to find out what are the factors that are making the difference
