Will her assistant ever come back to work from sick leave? 1 by pallasgirl This one confused me. My friend asked this question. Her part time assistant had to leave for medical reasons, and now it looks that due to complications, she may need to be on extended leave. She is sorely missed, and my friend wants to know when, or even if, she will ever come back to work. http://www.astro.com/cgi/chart.cgi?cid= ... dd=18&ast= She asked the question, therefore we are using the Asc for her. Her assistant would be the 6th house...ruled by Mars in Aries intercepted in the 11th. The 11th being the assistant's 6th house of illness. This works, except that Mars is essentially strong in Aries. This would say her illness isn't so dire after all? The illness itself would be ruled by jupiter, ruler of her 6th house. When will she return to work. Her work would be the 10th from the 6th....or would we just just use the radical 10th, since its my friend's work as well. The nest aspect of the moon is a sextile to a retrograde Saturn, ruler of the radical 10th. Don't see how that ties into Mars though, Can anyone help here? thanks pallasgirl Quote Thu Apr 30, 2009 1:33 am
by AquaStella Hi, This is quite similar to Gunhilde's horary, only it is in more advanced stages. The querent's assistant is L2 Moon in the 1st house, her own turned 12th house of suffering. Moon was already square Mars and sextile Sun, lord of turned H2-h3, the turned H5-H6 from the turned H10, so she is already on medical leave. Next aspect Moon will make is sextile Saturn Rx. L8-10 (hre turned 7-9) in the H4 of end of the matter. But Moon will not make an aspect to Jupiter , lord of her turned 10th house. She will not return to her old job, although she might return to the same workplace. After perfecting the sextile to Saturn, Moon will enter her own 1st house, as it comes out of her turned 12th. It will then attempt to perfect a sextile with Mercury L1 (Querent), but this will be frustrated, as Mercury is at an anaretic degree, cnj Alcyone ("something to cry about") and will cross into Gemini, its domicile, before Moon manages to perfect the aspect. One more thing to consider is the fact that Uranus is tightly square the Asc, and applying. My conclusion is that the assistant returns to the Querent's workplace but will no longer be able to serve as her assistant, because the Querent will surprisingly undergo a change of circumtances, for the better, as Mercury will soon move into its own domicile and gain dignity by rulership. 3 by pallasgirl Excellent delineation Aqua Stella. Thank you for that. I did see that the querent's sig was moving into a better position, but wasn't sure which house to use for assistant. As for timing, I assume we will use the moon to saturn, 5 degrees, for the return of the assistant to the workplace. 5 weeks sounds likely. What about timing for the querent's new position? Mercury enters Gemini in just under one degree, so perhaps a month or so. thanks pallasgirl Quote Thu Apr 30, 2009 3:15 pm
by PallasAthene I think the assistant could be 6th house mars. In her own 6th house of health. Mars is a malefic, (if I can still use it as such, being a significator?) so I think she really is ill. In it's own sign would add to the severity of the illness. And 6th isn't a good house for mars either. The interception would also indicate debility/disability. Mars rulers head and in 1st decant, upper head, so headaches, migraines? There was a conj to uranus.. the unexpected complications? Could also say the illness is acute, not chronic and came on quickly. Venus is there too.. could be "womens problems"? Mars conj venus could even suggest a sexually transmitted disease.. Venus could even be a close female friend caring for her. When mer moves into gemini, gaining dignity, it will sextile mars. When 2 planets are in their own sign, are they in a "face off" situation"? lol Both equally strong? Would have to check terms and face, no time now. The querent and quesited will have an opportunity to make contact. ps nice name pallasgirl! ; ) Quote Thu Apr 30, 2009 11:27 pm
by AquaStella I doubt it the assistant could be signified by Mars, as Mercury L1 is in Mars' sign of detriment, which does not reflect her true opinion of the much needed assistant. Mercury exalts Moon. Mercury will not sextile Mars when in Gemini because it will turn Rx. right after entering Gemini, and then retreat back into Taurus. Quote Fri May 01, 2009 4:40 am
by PallasAthene Could reflect the need for the assistant tho? Which isn't being fulfilled as she is absent? Mercury is in detriment of mars by not having the (martian!) staff she needs? Just a thought. Forgot about the Rx, good point!! Lilly says of the 2nd house: "in suits of law, it signifies a man's friends or assistants;" ie people who are helpful to the legal position of the querent and I don't think that quite follows through in this particular case? 2nd house is generally associated with possessions not people (notable exception above), 6th is for "slaves", ie employees who you can sack! lol Speaking of, it is the quesited who will need legal support if she gets fired! Could use 7th, another person? Jupiter on MC, conj chiron/nep, venus is thenL6 in detrmiment in aries, still ill, maybe with depression from the conj planets and association with mars for head? (pushing it lol). 5th/11th axis intercepted, like Gunhilde's, is that a sign of depression? Withdrawn from society and not having any fun? She would be in her 4th, at home but connected to radical 10th? She is also conj her own "end of the matter", does that mean she is in control there? In detriment of sun, natural significator of the boss (also vitality), she either doesn't like her boss, or is unable to do what the boss wants her to do. Or is just generally lacking in vitality? Sun is L10 of quesited so for boss also read job. And no dignity in taurus so weak. Taurus is dispositor of venus, her health, so agin the connection between her health and this job is not a positive one. pallasgirl, do we know what is actually wrong with the assistant? Does "sorely missed" mean on a personal level, or because no one is doing her work, impacting on the querent? The querent is definitely at the end of her tether, in the last degree. It is about to move into it's own sign, this is good, can also have an element of arrogance? Uranus app sq to asc.. she may behave in a shocking manner. She could well sack the assistant, exerting her power and surprising everyone. That saturnRx is in quesited's 10th..mutually applying to her undignified L10. Not sure if this aspect will perfect tho. All just thinking out loud Last edited by PallasAthene on Fri May 01, 2009 11:19 am, edited 1 time in total. Quote Fri May 01, 2009 9:27 am
by AquaStella KISS principle = Keep It Simple, Sweetheart ! Reading a horary, it is advisable not to try to overanalyze or go beyond answering the Querent's simple question. But , of course, as a public rule breaker with Uranus on Mc, just do what you feel like, Pal ! My Aqua stellium will just watch with admiration ! We usually use 2nd for personal assistants (secretaries, deputies and staff) in horaries even when they are not about lawsuits. I just recalled one old horary about Pakistan's leader (Musharaff) who was about to step down from his postion as the head of the army, appointing his "deputy" (2nd in rank) as his replacement. We used his 2nd house for his "deputy" and came up with an accurate result. I wouldn't use the 7th for the assistant , as they are not partners or enemies on the same level. "Sorely missed" is someone one "cannot do without", so it is best described by "exaltation", just as in falling in love with someone: being "unable to live without him/her", which is reflected by the planet in love exalting the planet of his/her desire, "puttin it on a pedestal". As Mercury goes into its own domicile, it no longer exalts Moon, but becomes its own master, being able to act freely, on his own account. Only trouble is (Gee Whiz) Mercury will turn Rx. soon after gaining its new freedom, change its mind and retreat back into Taurus to his old bad habits of being dependent. One thing we forgot to mention is that, just a short while after Mercury crosses into Gemini, it will meet Moon by antiscia (hmm..secrets). I wonder what that means... Quote Fri May 01, 2009 11:15 am
by PallasAthene Mercury in antiscia of moon... yup, my monies on the assistant getting the boot! (Thanks for 2nd house tip, to be filed for reference : )) Her 10th (radical 8th) is saturn Rx, peregrine, in her 3rd of contracts. The employment contract will be terminated! MercuryRx back to taurus, querent will be in same position as now, ie exultation of moon, NEEDING an assistant, detriment of mars, LACKING staff. 9 by PallasAthene AquaStella, how long will that 10th house uranus stay with me after casting that chart? I don't mind that label, forward thinking, ahead of it's time etc etc. Shaking up the establishment, all pretty cool, and harmless on a forum, not real life! lol And it had cancer rising... I objected to what felt like public probing of my private affairs. VERY INTERESTING!! And fitting. I have cast charts since that I haven't posted here.. too scared lol So wondering about the implications of a horary as a temporary natal. New thread? Sorry for hijacking. 10 by AquaStella I was wondering about this Moon-Saturn Rx. sextile, suggesting the Assistant applies to return to the querent's workplace. Since Saturn is Rx., while Moon is in Saturn's detriment, maybe this should indeed be regarded as "a Return of light" (Saturn returning Moon's light), which is considered a denial of perfection (so Assistant's attempted return is denied by the employers and rejected). The following 3rd part of article describes this "return of light": http://www.skyscript.co.uk/tobyn3.html Good point ! Quote Fri May 01, 2009 12:45 pm
by pallasgirl I just emailed my friend to ask about her assistant and what's going on with her medically. They work in a law office actually , but my friend does the accounting and books there. Her assistant is most likely hired by the law office bosses, or the partners themselves, so my friend most likely has no power to hire her or fire her, but queried her on that anyway. Will report back later tonight. thanks pallasgirl Quote Fri May 01, 2009 1:56 pm
