With Air France admitting that the speedometers were defect, would anyone consider that stationary Mercury together and Mars entering Taurus and running into sesqu-quadrate with Saturn, that this could mean that the plane lost it's required speed and came to a standstill or a stall?

Or may there have been a weight shift in the aircraft, as could occur if luggage was loaded incorrectly, bringing the plane out of balance. I once saw a video of a plane that stalled due to incorrect balance? Anyone with a say?

The report published today blames the pilots and specifically the Captain but Air France & victims families point to faulty air speed sensors. Probably a mix of the two.
As Flight 447's captain slept, his two less experienced co-pilots ignored and failed to discuss repeated stall warnings during the three and a half minutes it took the Airbus A330 to plunge into the ocean.

If they had done so, the "situation was salvageable," said the French accident investigation bureau, BEA, in a report using data from black boxes recently recovered from the site of the worst crash in Air France's history.

However, Air France and victims' families insisted faulty air speed sensors, not human error, were mainly to blame.

Neither of the co-pilots had received recent training for manual aircraft handling and how to recover from a high-altitude stall or unreliable air speed readings, it emerged.

Among its recommendations, BEA called for such training to be mandatory and for the inclusion of video cameras in cockpits.

The captain was also singled out for failing to provide "clear operational instructions" to his colleagues before leaving them in control.

The emergency started when the jet suffered a loss of lift, or stall, and air speed sensors failed.
